The experience was extraordinary until it was time to checkout and the front desk want to charge $50 US for one missing room key. The key had a plastic fob with grand caribe name on the front and the room number on the back…when you’ve already spent over $7K US for 6 nights, plus the other funds spent on excursions and buying local T-Shirts from guest services....please don’t lose a key or the local front desk will attempt to take more of your cash..one front desk clerk will make me think again about vacationing with Grand Caribe..

“This has been the best place I have stayed in San Pedro. The customer service is amazing, it is cleaned to perfection, and the view is out of the world. If you go keep an eye out for Jose. He is one of the kindest hearted people I have met out here. All of the employees here are amazing too though! Highly recommend :)”

“This resort is amazing..from check in until check out our stay was amazing!! Extremely clean and they do your laundry daily. The concierge service will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the pool bar!!
It is extremely convenient to downtown or Secret Beach. The spa was very nice and the prices were better than the states or other places we have been.
Look no further for a place to stay in San Pedro!!”

“It is a huge hotel, so you have to do a lot of walking. They have a lot of pools, very big and warm, about 89 degrees.
We had an studio on the 4th floor, no views but very spacious, huge walk-in closet. In he room we had a microwave, a minifridge, daily small tubes of toiletries, a hairdryer, luxurious towels :), a coffeemaker (coffee, sugar and cream provided for free), one bottle of water provided only once, and a very comfortable bed. Paper towels, cups, dishes and cutlery were provided as well. They had beautiful decorations in our room, with shaped towels and flowers, the first day, it was sweet. The bathroom/shower was very big, marbled countertops, everything looked very new. Security by all entrances at all times. Nice and warm people though. The store and the gym are not inside the hotel, they are at the corner. The gym is very well equipped spacious and clean. You can park your golf cart for free across the street (you will need one, trust me). The staff is overall friendly and helpful. There is a hotel dock where tours can pick up from. Pool towels are provided. It is about 15 minutes to San Pedro downtown by car. About 25 minutes to Secret Beach. Good location, safe. There is no swimming by the beach (not only here, all the hotels in this area too), too much sargassum. It was very windy but refreshing because it gets very humid. 83-84 temperatures day and night.”

“We had a fantastic stay. The Grand Caribe is the best option. We came on shoulder season and had a quiet relaxing stay. If you want excursions you can be picked up directly from the dock. The check in staff is fantastic and happy. The servers at the pool were always happy. Vladimir greeted us first and remembered us every time. The beach is well kept and the views from the rooms are incredible. We ventured over to the sister property and we are very glad we chose the Grand Caribe! The location is perfect if you don’t want in town but close to all the food and busyness.”

“Grand Caribe was an excellent choice for my first trip to Ambergris Caye. Excellent resort facilities, pools, swim up bar (with excellent bartenders such as Vladimir who gave great local recommendations and friendly service), and beautiful ocean front views. While the resort could use some modern touch up, it overall was an easy vacation experience, had everything I wanted and great friendly staff.”
