1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of hotelaholic.com and its related pages, accounts and features (together, the “Site”). The Site is operated by Hotelaholic.com (“Hotelaholic,” “we,” “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

Hotel reservations are not made on the Site. They are completed on our booking site, book.hotelaholic.com, under separate booking terms described in Section 12.

2. About Hotelaholic

Hotelaholic is an editorial hotel discovery service. We publish destination guides and hotel recommendations.

Hotelaholic is not a travel agency, tour operator, accommodation provider or merchant of record. We do not hold inventory, take reservations, collect payment, issue booking confirmations, or have authority to amend or cancel any booking.

3. Use of the Site

You may read, link to and share pages of the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• scrape, bulk-copy, republish or resell Site content or any hotel data displayed on the Site;
• use automated systems to access or harvest the Site;
• attempt to access non-public areas, accounts or systems; or
• use the Site in any manner that interferes with its operation or violates applicable law.

Certain convenience features, such as a “recently viewed” list, are stored on your own device rather than on our servers. This data may be lost if you clear your browser, use private browsing, or change devices or browsers. We do not warrant that it will be retained, restored or transferred.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

You may create a Hotelaholic account using an email address or a supported third-party sign-in service. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

When you are signed in and continue to book.hotelaholic.com, we sign you in to the booking site automatically. To do so, we share limited account details, such as your name, email address and an account identifier, with our booking provider, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your Hotelaholic account and any account on the booking site are separate. Signing out of one may not sign you out of the other.

We may suspend or close any account that is used in breach of these Terms.

5. Sources of Information

Certain structured hotel information, photographs and guest rating summaries on the Site are supplied by licensed third-party data providers. Guest review text is retrieved when you open a hotel page and is not stored by us. Photographs are displayed from externally hosted sources and are not copied to our servers.

Hotel names, addresses, star ratings, photographs and rating summaries remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed under license. Prices, taxes and availability are not quoted on the Site. Where information appears outdated or inaccurate, the booking site and the accommodation provider are the authoritative sources.

6. Content and Use of Artificial Intelligence

Articles on the Site are generated by an artificial intelligence system and published under the name “Happi.” Hotelaholic publishes the Site and is responsible for the content that appears on it. Our selection criteria are described in our Editorial Standards.

“Happi” is a brand voice, not a natural person. Nothing on the Site represents that any individual personally visited, stayed at or inspected any property described.

7. Accuracy and Reliance

Site content is provided for general information only. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions or outdated statements. Hotel features, services, opening times and prices change frequently and without notice. Each article shows the date it was last updated, and information may have changed since then.

You are responsible for independently confirming any detail material to your booking, including rates, availability, room type, facilities and cancellation terms, with the booking site or the accommodation provider before you pay. Nothing on the Site constitutes travel, financial, legal, medical, visa or insurance advice.

8. Affiliate and Partner Relationships

Hotelaholic participates in commercial arrangements with booking and technology partners, including the provider of book.hotelaholic.com. When you make a reservation through a link, widget or booking tool on the Site, we may receive a commission or other compensation. This compensation is how the Site is funded.

Our compensation may be reflected in the prices displayed on the booking site. The total shown at checkout, together with any local taxes or fees disclosed there as payable at the property, is the amount you pay. Editorial selection, ordering and descriptions are made independently of commission rates. No hotel, hotel group or representative pays for inclusion, placement, ranking or editorial treatment on the Site.

9. Prices

Prices are not final until your booking is confirmed. Any price shown on the Site, on the booking site or during checkout may change until the booking site confirms your reservation. The price stated in your booking confirmation is the final price, subject only to any local taxes or fees disclosed at checkout as payable at the property.

Any price indicated on the Site is an approximate range for general guidance only. It is not a quotation or an offer.

Availability may also change until your booking is confirmed. Prices may differ from those offered on other websites or through other channels, and may differ between signed-in members and guests. We do not guarantee that any price shown is the lowest available.

10. Intellectual Property

Articles, rankings and editorial commentary on the Site are original works owned by Hotelaholic. They may not be reproduced, scraped or republished in whole or in substantial part without our written permission. Quoting a short extract with a link to the original page is permitted.

Hotel, brand and place names are used descriptively to identify the properties discussed. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from those owners.

AI-Generated Images (described in Section 10B) are original works owned by Hotelaholic.

10A. Copyright Complaints (DMCA Notice)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a written notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to support@hotelaholic.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice,” including:

• your physical or electronic signature;
• identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
• identification of the material on the Site, including its page address (URL);
• your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.

On receipt of a valid notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the material. If your material was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hotelaholic disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hotelaholic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss, cost or damage arising from reliance on Site content, including any booking, travel or expenditure decision. Hotelaholic has no liability for the performance of any booking, accommodation or service provided by a third party.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Hotel Bookings

Although book.hotelaholic.com carries the Hotelaholic name, reservations made on it are provided by our booking provider, Nuitée Travel Limited, a company registered in Ireland (“Booking Provider”). Your booking contract is with the Booking Provider, acting as an intermediary for the accommodation provider. Hotelaholic is not a party to that contract. Cancellation policies are set by the accommodation provider and shown before you confirm. Some local taxes, resort fees and deposits may be payable directly to the accommodation provider, as disclosed at checkout.

Each booking is governed by the Booking Provider’s booking terms and privacy policy, which are presented and must be accepted at checkout, together with the rate, cancellation and payment conditions shown before you confirm. By completing a booking, you agree to be bound by those terms in full, together with the Booking Provider’s cookies policy and privacy policy as they apply to your booking. They govern all aspects of your booking, including but not limited to payment, confirmation, amendments, cancellations, refunds, no-shows, liability and complaints. If these Terms conflict with the Booking Provider’s terms in relation to a booking, the Booking Provider’s terms prevail. Please read them carefully before you book. Booking data you submit at checkout is collected and processed by the Booking Provider under its own privacy policy.

Questions, changes, cancellations and complaints about a booking should be directed to the Booking Provider’s customer service team, using the contact details in your booking confirmation or at vip.support@nuitee.com. Hotelaholic cannot amend, cancel or refund a booking on your behalf.

13. General

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence, disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Marin County, California. Bookings are governed by the law specified in the Booking Provider’s terms.

Corrections and contact. If you believe content on the Site is inaccurate, or you have a question about these Terms, contact support@hotelaholic.com. Where a report is correct, we will update the article and its date.

Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its effective date shown. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
