“The hotel is in a great location, easy access to restaurants. The staff were professional and friendly, always willing to help. Excellent service from check in to check out. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary welcome drink. The hotel offers live music in the bar, but unfortunately the band's performance was disappointing as singer was not particularly entertaining and a few singer struggled with some of the songs.”

“Very disappointing experience – absolutely not 5-star service
On the second day of our stay, €1,000 disappeared from our locked safe. CCTV footage showed that a housekeeping employee, who according to the hotel had no reason to be on our floor, had entered our room. After we reported the incident to the police, this person was arrested by the detectives.
The hotel promised us a solution, and the general manager literally said: “Don’t worry.” We are now two months later: there is still no solution, no compensation, and barely any response to our messages.
We no longer felt safe and did not use the safe again. From a 5-star hotel such as The George, part of the Ascott Group, you would expect a serious incident like this to be handled professionally and promises to be kept.
Unfortunately, none of that happened. Extremely poor service, no accountability, and above all, many promises that were not kept.
Afterwards, we read in earlier reviews that this had happened at the hotel before, but that no action had been taken.”

“Good location with the free CAT bus 1 min down the road, beautiful building, friendly and attentive staff. Good selection at breakfast, with plenty of seating. The hotel itself was very clean. Be prepared for the 5am or 6am call to prayer every day, it was quite a shock on the first nights sleep as to how loud it was.”
