“Wir waren nun bereits zum zweiten Mal im Dusit Thani Maldives und würden definitiv wiederkommen. 🌴
Wir hatten eine Beach Villa mit eigenem Pool und waren besonders davon begeistert, wie gepflegt und hochwertig alles war. Vor allem die Außenmöbel wirkten komplett neu, waren sehr bequem und die gesamte Villa war immer sehr sauber. Gereinigt wurde zweimal täglich.
Auch kulinarisch hat uns die Insel sehr gut gefallen. Eine absolute Empfehlung ist das vegane Restaurant – unbedingt möglichst am Anfang des Urlaubs ausprobieren, denn wir hätten danach am liebsten direkt noch einmal dort gegessen. Auch das thailändische Restaurant Baan Ya Rong hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Was uns persönlich weiterhin etwas fehlt, ist ein richtig gutes Steak- bzw. Fleischrestaurant. Das wussten wir allerdings bereits von unserem letzten Aufenthalt.
Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an unseren persönlichen Butler Nan, der während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts immer erreichbar, unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit war. ❤️
Etwas schade fanden wir die Regelung bei einigen Ausflügen. Ich hatte mich besonders auf das Schnorcheln mit Haien gefreut und bin unter anderem deshalb noch einmal in dieses Resort gekommen. Leider konnten mehrere Aktivitäten nicht stattfinden, weil mindestens vier Teilnehmer benötigt werden. Gerade wenn man sich auf eine bestimmte Aktivität besonders freut, ist das natürlich enttäuschend.
Dafür können wir den Spa-Bereich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Unsere Massagen waren wirklich hervorragend – besonders Chompo können wir sehr empfehlen. Man sollte allerdings die zusätzlichen Kosten im Blick behalten: Bei vielen angegebenen Preisen kommen Steuern und Servicegebühren noch hinzu. Eine Massage für zwei Personen kann dadurch schnell über 400 US-Dollar kosten. Für uns war sie das trotzdem absolut wert.”

“There is always hesitation in going back to a place and it falling short of the memories, but our second time at this resort was just as amazing as we remembered.
We were invited on two trips at the start of our stay: a visit to a nearby sandbank where drinks were provided on arrival and a sunset cruise. Both were spectacular.
All the staff are so kind, professional and provide a simply outstanding service.
The cleaning service in the rooms was great and they did a wonderful job.
At the Sand Bar, we always felt so welcomed and they knew exactly what we wanted before we did. For example, something so simple as wanting a towel to put on the table to play card games in the evening. Asked for one once and then every evening we got one. The Sea Grill food at the Sand Bar at lunch is also a big highlight.
The Benjarong I think was one of the biggest reasons to come back! The food is absolutely amazing and we have never been disappointed. And, of course, the staff are just perfect.
The Sala Bar’s vegan menu was so wonderful, and the cocktails were just perfect with amazing recommendations from the staff.
You would think you would get bored on a 700m long island, but it is the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. The house reef is absolutely beautiful and perfect for snorkelling, filled with turtles, reef sharks, octopuses, eels, scorpion fish, rays and so many more. The dive centre is also amazing. This time, we came a little earlier in the year than before so it was harder to see the whale sharks, but the we got a call in the evening during dinner and rushed out to join the boat. Needless to say, the time and effort they put in to help us explore the wildlife in an amazing and respectful way was brilliant.
For my family, cycling around the island is a simple yet prominent reason we love Dusit Thani.
A simple addition to our previous visit was the pool table, table-tennis, table football, etc, that just added a great element.
I would like to say a special thank you to Anas, Ahmed and Atta who made our trip even better. Anas was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, from a bike fixed in record time, helping surprise my parents for their wedding anniversary and so much more. Ahmed remembered us from last time we came and was as amazing as we remembered and made every breakfast morning memorable. Atta is an amazing chef and so kind, especially with the most amazing pancakes in all different shapes! Whale sharks, bats, manta rays, etc. He brought a smile to my families’ faces every morning.
And a big thank you to Jean-Louis who greeted us everyday and made us feel so welcome.
We all definitely hope to come back soon <3”

“Everything was truly amazing and we all had a wonderful most memorable time. It’s a very beautiful Island down to the smallest detail. April our dedicated Butler was always available and like Genie in a bottle fulfilled all our wishes and helped us enjoy more. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome. They didn’t just do their jobs—they consistently went above and beyond to create unforgettable memories for us. Every detail was taken care of with warmth, professionalism, and sincere hospitality.
We were especially fortunate to meet April, who became one of the highlights of our stay. From the very first moment, it felt as though we had known her for years. She was incredibly kind, caring, and always there whenever we needed anything. She made us feel like family, and we will always remember her with gratitude.
The dining experience was outstanding. Every meal was fresh, healthy, delicious, and offered plenty of variety. Whether we were at the restaurant or relaxing by the pool, we were always welcomed with genuine smiles that made every day even more enjoyable.

“We just returned from a fantastic holiday at Dusit Thani Maldives. Long story short….just go, it really can’t go wrong. This was our 7th visit to the Maldives all of which have been exquisite, and this one did not come short in any way, on the contrary. It was our first time in Baa atoll. Hopefully it won’t be the last. Baa atoll proved as fantastic as we had hoped for.
Villas
As we were 5 adults, we had booked two Beach Front Pool Villas. Villas were average Maldivian standard. They were not brand new, but convenient and clean. Bed was excellent and housekeeping came by twice a day with new bed sheets every other day. Mini bar contained the usual items - it was all good.
Food
We had booked the Pure Indulgence plan. It was pricy as these packages always are in the Maldives, but in our view, worth it. The restaurants are very, very good. Locations are excellent by the ocean, menus Are varied, and quality of food cannot be higher. The wines included in the PI are OK, but sometimes served a bit too warm, but nothing a bucket of ice couldn’t fix. And staff was always very helpful.The morning buffet was very good with egg stations, pancakes, fruit station etc. Absolutely in line with what you should expect from a 5 star resort.
Diving and snorkling
The resort has maybe the best house reef we have had in the Maldives. It is outstanding!!. On any given day, you will see sharks (nurse and reef), turtles, eagle rays and tons of fish. We lucked out and saw dolphins right in front of the villa, and my son managed to snorkel out and see them in the ocean. We preferred to snorkel from our villa (302) and then anticlockwise. However, the current can be quite tough. My husband and our three adults did a lot of scuba diving and had many amazing dives with the Ocean Dive Centre. Baa is the home of mantas and whale sharks. The dive center arranges trips to Hanifaru Bay every time mantas or whale sharks are spotted. Be ready to grap your snorkelling gear in a jiffy and run to the boat. NOTHING beats being in the water with these marvellous animals. The trips are generally tough on the pocket, but going to Baa and missing out on seeing these creatures would be such a shame.
Service and convenience - the resort offers a butler service as do many other Maldivian resorts. We have never really made any use of the butler. This time was different and I think the reason was that our butler, Azim, was so easy to get in touch with. Upon our arrival, Azim took us around the island and helped us getting settled in the villas. We established a Whatsapp-group with him and all of us, and we used that chat group to communicate with him. It was extremely convenient. If we had something we needed help with, we wrote to Azim on WhatsApp and he got back to us very quickly. Whether it be housekeeping, dinner reservations, excursions etc., we could direct it to Azim. That was a real luxury, and I am still trying to figure out, how to handle my everyday live without Azim 😆.
Many reviews have mentioned the incredible staff at Dusit Thani and I can only echo what others have said: The people at DT deliver a service and show a level of hospitality that is nothing less than outstanding. We felt so extremely welcome everywhere we went. I do get that for them it’s a job, but as a guest, you almost forget because of their sincerity. They are ALL incredible and a big thanks to all of them. However, I do want to mention some of them:
- Alex (Market) greeted us every morning in the most welcoming manner, served me one of Atta’s manta pancakes on my birthday with a birthday song and also made time to come and say goodbye
- Mai (Market) worked every morning, every evening, and always with the biggest smile
- Prashanth (Market) made us I don’t know how many omelets and fried eggs, always to perfection
- Dinuka (Market) thanks for preparing such delicious food with the biggest smile - we loved your soup
- Atta (Market) the king of pancakes and to some extent partly responsible for us having to go on a diet now, always going the extra mile to provide the best experience for us
- Rabeeu and Raveesha (Sea Grill) exceptionally hospitable and doing their utmost to provide top service
- James and Pande (Benjarong) servicing us in the most pleasant manner and experts at making us feel welcome
- Obbs (Benjarong) who played a big part in making my birthday dinner one of the most memorable ever - I am extremely grateful
- Amilla (Sala) introduced us to exceptionally delicious vegan food, did everything he could to make our visit to Sala enjoyable and suggested a hot pot dinner on my birthday in a setting that was unbelievable. He decorated the pavillon beautifully and we were all stunned and touched by his efforts. A host in a league of his own!
- Azim - our fantastic butler who was never more than 5 minutes away and who fixed everything in a very efficient manner. All questions were answered, all problems were solved and all requests accommodated.
- And last - but certainly not least - Majeed, who waited on us at the Market, and who personally decorated our dining table with beautiful flowers and “napkin art” on the last day before he had to leave for a well deserved holiday with his family.
We felt spoilt by all of the DT team - a huge thanks to all of them.
In conclusion, if you need to be pampered on a luxury holiday, go to Dusit Thani!”

“Nine times in the Maldives, three times at Dusit Thani — and we're still not done
It might sound boring to return three times to an island only 700 meters long. It's not. Let me tell you what you have to do at least once here:
Swim around the island. It's 2.4 km — do it in a rough hour for exercise, or take three hours if you get carried away by turtles and endless fish.
Run or cycle the 1.4 km trail. Take 6 minutes or take 30 — your choice.
Order any drink at the Sala Bar — they know better than you what you want anyway. Same at Benjarong: order anything, they know what to do.
But seriously: the quality of everything on this island — for me one of the most beautiful spots on earth — stands out. The managers of every outlet, whether The Market, the grill, Benjarong, Sand Bar or Sala Bar, and every single person working there, are as exceptional as the food and drinks. If you are chasing perfection: here you go.
Each day starts with an excellent breakfast (the pancakes are stunning) and ends with a sundowner and a wonderful dinner — and everything in between is pure fun. We can't name everyone, but we value your dedication. Our evenings at the Sala Bar with Bawah and Amila will never be forgotten.
...and so we'll have to return a fourth time, still surprised by what you can do on a 700-meter island.”

“My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary earlier this month and we had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, modern and luxurious and all of the staff throughout the resort were amazing, friendly and so attentive.
Azim, our butler, was great and always responded very quickly to any questions we had and helped us book excursions, dinner reservations and spa treatments.
The house reef was rich in marine life and we were lucky to see turtles, rays and nurse sharks.

“Resort is close to manta ray sites. The island itself is convenient for reef snorkling, especially close to Benjarong area. Sala bar provides nice sunset views, where Bawaa barman makes exceptional cocktails. Many thanks to Daniil and other guys who provide excellent service.
