“This was our second time visiting The Cape, and second year in a row. Last year we had a great time, and this year we came with friends and enjoyed the 3 bedroom Penthouse for several of our 40th birthday celebrations. There was 7 of us staying in the 2 story Penthouse + 1 other room was booked for another couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. If you're planning visiting with family or close friends, the value of the Penthouse is great and should be worth considering. Lots of amenities are included with the Penthouse booking that are typically extra. The pool area is a great vibe. The view from every room at this hotel is amazing, and the staff and service is very attentive and welcoming.
A special thank you to Fernanda Hernandez from the concierge team. I've traveled around the world and have stayed at many 5 star hotels... I don't think I've ever dealt with someone so pleasant and thorough. She was very attentive to my request for bookings and suggestions for our group of 9 for several weeks before our arrival. I was in charge of all the restaurant reservations and activities for our group, and she did a terrific job arranging everything for me.
I would 100% come back to The Cape in the future, and would highly recommend this hotel. I think this hotel is mainly suited for adults (w/o kids) who are looking for a more lively atmosphere with the great pool area + rooftop bar.
Great location too! Not too far from the main town. Every room has a view, and there are surfers all day out in the water so it's nice to enjoy this unique experience as well.
Rooms were clean and quiet. The individual balconies of each suite is super nice and relaxing too.

“Our stay at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the service was truly outstanding. Every member of the staff—from the front desk and housekeeping to the pool attendants, restaurant team, and room service—was warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. I wish I had written down everyone’s names because they all deserve recognition. Every request, no matter how small, was met with a smile and handled immediately.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The architecture and design create a beautiful organic, earthy atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxing. Everything was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with incredible views that made it difficult to leave the balcony.
The food throughout the property was exceptional. Every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and of outstanding quality. We also enjoyed the spa, which was wonderful and added another level of relaxation to our stay.
One thing I especially appreciated was having both a beautiful saltwater pool and a traditional pool. While the ocean in front of the hotel is generally too rough for swimming, the saltwater pool more than made up for it and quickly became one of our favorite places to relax while still enjoying the incredible ocean views.
We were in Cabo for a wedding, so over four days we experienced nearly every part of the resort, and the level of service never wavered. It’s rare to find a hotel where every department consistently delivers such a high standard of hospitality.
Another bonus is the location. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance, including one with fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, live jazz, and live music, making it easy to enjoy the area without going far.
The Cape delivers everything you hope for in a luxury resort: beautiful accommodations, incredible food, breathtaking views, exceptional amenities, and, most importantly, a team of people who truly care about making your stay memorable. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommended.”

“I must say the property is beautiful. The rooms were well laid out and the pool and gym are great. But it ends there, the food and beverage are wildly overpriced. The pool is more like a hot tub as it’s heated and about 90F at all times, super uncomfortable. The sunken bar we ordered wine and the waiter emptied the bottle and it wasn’t a full pour and had to summon the sommelier to pour the rest of the glass and apologize. $30 a glass and they are pouring you two ounces. Drinks are extremely overpriced and not that good. The food leaves a lot to be desired, except the French toast at breakfast which is fantastic. Pool service is very slow, 30-40 mins for Chicken quesadillas after watching other orders come before mine that were order after mine. No apology no nothing when it obv forgotten about. I can go on and on. If you want a beautiful hotel and location this is it, but I suggest dining out like we did for two of the evenings.”

“My second stay at The Cape was every bit as amazing as my first, and somehow they managed to make it feel even more special.
Before I even arrived, the team sent me a personalized welcome text, and when I got to my room, I found a handwritten note welcoming me back. Those thoughtful touches immediately made me feel like a valued returning guest and set the tone for an incredible stay.
The hospitality throughout the trip was exceptional. Lenny, Gustavo, and Fabian at the pool were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed while creating such a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
A special thank you to Cesar at The Ledge, whose service was impeccable. He consistently checked in on my friend and me throughout each meal, making sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stood out.
From the beautiful property and breathtaking views to the outstanding food and genuinely caring staff, every part of the experience reminded me why The Cape is one of my favorite hotels in Cabo. It’s rare to find a place that not only remembers returning guests but makes them feel so appreciated.

“It's really hard to give a rating for this one.
The location and vibes were unmatched. My room had a balcony with a swinging couch facing the ocean with the sound of crashing waves. The food was fantastic and the staff attentive and polite.
I probably would have stayed there longer if it wasn't for the loud music that seemed to play in the late afternoon from the ground level and then switch to the Rooftop at night.
My room was close to the Rooftop, so the bass would penetrate down and rattle the room slightly until midnight (especially on Fridays). If you're here to drink and party at night. you'll have no problem here
My stay looked like it was happening at the same time as several private events back to back (weddings). So the best advice I would probably give is you really wanted to stay here for a relaxing get away would be to maybe call and ask for some off dates where that would be unlikely to happen.”

“The Cape Hotel has been one of the most exhilarating experiences that we’ve ever experienced on vacation. We have been coming to Cabo for the last decade and stayed at many different resorts. The Cape is by far on top of the list. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The staff has been amazing and extremely accommodating. Food quality is top-notch. Most importantly, the security is on point, which is really important in the current state of the world. The room is so comfortable and set up to really adhere for a surreal experience.
The only slight inconvenience is it’s not very close to the marina, but it’s a $10 Uber ride, which is not that painful.
However, I will say they have really gone above and beyond unfortunately, I ended up getting a rash that I could not clear up and my wife ended up getting her ears clogged and the Concierge went above and beyond to get a doctor to come on site and help us fix both issues. We were about to go to the RED CROSS and that would’ve been a very terrible move and they stopped us from doing that and provided the on call Dr. they even had the medication delivered right to the room. Because of that experience, we were both able to heal and enjoy the rest of our vacation.
To expand on the food, they even have a Michelin star restaurant right inside.
I would highly recommend The Cape. It is a little bit more expensive side, but definitely worth every penny.”

“Been here 3x and each visit has gotten worse due to the staff interactions and how the solve issues that arise. Globalist breakfast has been an issue each visit here. Staff trying to charge for items that they say are not on the globalist "menu" or saying all the items we ordered were from a special menu and that we are responsible for the whole bill (until we proved them wrong). No globalist upgrades on arrival each time I have visited even though it has been low season. Not worth the Cat 7 or price they charge for such low combative service.”

“Here for a wedding, which was beautiful. Not the usual type of resort I stay at. We usually do all inclusive.
Overall hotel is gorgeous. Nothing to do at night. The cost of drinks was a bit much, so hanging out by the bar at night was out. No entertainment, especially if staying at the hotel at night. Not one for venturing off property, and that was also expensive. That being said....
The service was exceptional at this hotel. Everyone was very nice and helpful all of the time. Everyone had smiles and you knew if you needed something, they would be able to accomodaate. Francisco, bartender and server, and the servers around the pool stood out exceptionally. The front desk attendants and concierge were very good also. My room was always clean, with the exception of one day, the day of the wedding, when we came back to the room quite early, but one call to the front desk and we had clean towels in 5 minutes. They even cleaned the room later even though I stated it wasn't necessary.
Transportation was great too....$$$$ but good.”

“We just returned from my daughter‘s wedding at The Cape Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. We already knew how much we loved this hotel, but the precision with which they executed every part of our wedding weekend was exceptional. We had several different events in several different venues at the hotel and each one of them was amazing. Special mention goes to the excellent event/catering staff led by the fantastic Fernanda Perez. Fernanda and I were in touch weekly for about 6 months with updates to our event but she always accommodated us with a smile. Our guests were blown away by the quality of the hotel and staff. The rooms, the food, the service, the ambiance, the exceptional location all combine to make The Cape an extraordinary place to escape to. In fact, our next trip is already planned. Whether you visit just for an incredible holiday or you host a spectacular event, you won’t be disappointed at this property.”
