“The hotel is a Gaudi crossed with Murano playground. It clings to the hillside and provides a sweeping view down to the beach Our one bedroom apartment (5B) was large and airy with windows that opened above the pool. The views were stunning and we had all we needed and more including a blender, washing machine and large fridge. The location is excellent - it was an easy walk to the cafes and colour of Zona Romantica.”

“The hotel is ok. We actually came on this trip to see if we wanted to stay here for Thanksgiving and are choosing another property instead. It is just not very polished, the pictures are definitely better than the reality. There were some noise issues as well as the rooms are all connecting rooms and the space underneath the door is quite a large gap as well as the doors being thin. One night the noise from a neighbor property was like a night club from about 3am to 5am.
There was also an issue with the keys one day and they texted us - which was great but we had to leave dinner and uber back to the hotel because otherwise there would be no attendant on property and no way for us to get the new keys. Luckily our dinner wasn’t too far away.
I wouldn’t say that we would refuse to stay here again but just think there are better options. ”

“Amazing value especially in comparison to the all inclusive hotels. Rooms are big in size and beautiful. Would definitely come again in the future! The beach is very close so you can walk a couple blocks and start swimming. Restaurants are all over and easy to come by”

“2nd time here and would come back here again! Quiet neighborhood with lots of to offer. Pool is nice and not busy. Bar and restaurant at pool area. The grounds and rooms are amazing. “Marcela Resort has the most premium location you could ask for in PV! The Romantic Zone of the city and the beach itself are within walking distance (be warned, many stairs), it sits atop a hill that overlooks the ocean and parts of the city, and it also is very close to a very important road for catching busses and Uber rides. Aside from location, the service was great, the rooms were excellent, and the pool area is very beautiful and fun! I highly recommend this resort for all!”

“Had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the room, room was very spacious, and nice pool area. Only downside is the driveway is very steep and since it’s on the side of a hill, there are a lot of stairs to get down to the beach/town area. ”

“Exceptional place to stay! Luxurious with the most phenomenal views and gorgeous rooms. Charm like an old European villa. We stayed in The Cave, open air, enormous and very private with a HUGE terrace. My husband and I both clapped with glee when we saw it! Onsite restaurant and pretty pool area are wonderful conveniences. Highly recommend this beautiful intimate resort!”

“Positives: Great a/c, food was good, pool and landscaping was really nice, beds were comfy and the view was amazing. The spa massage was amazing and they also held our bags after checkout so we could enjoy the pool while we waited for our flight. Employees were super nice and overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Small negatives: showers/bathrooms weren’t the cleanest and not made for big/tall people but I’m super picky. I kept hitting my head on the bathroom lights. Toilet seats were smaller than the toilet so your leg would touch the porcelain, the attention to detail with construction was mediocre(tile work).
Overall we had a good experience. I think the good outweighed the bad and we would definitely come back.”

“My wife and I have enjoyed our stay at the Marcela resort. We has wonderful massages at the attached spa and enjoyed a sauna as well.
The pools and outdoor areas are really nice with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. In addition the 2-1 happy hour margaritas were a nice touch too.
Everything else has been fantastic and we have enjoyed the beauty of the views from our comfy 7th floor perch.”
