“Alejandro, Candy, and Rodolfo in Gastro Hall were absolutely amazing! They were always incredibly kind, welcoming, and made sure to put a smile on everyone’s faces each morning. Their service was consistently excellent, and they were always attentive and on top of everything.
Alejandro at the Café was also superb and provided outstanding service. Antonio at the pool bar was incredibly quick and efficient with every order, making drinks with both speed and care.
The atmosphere at this hotel is truly amazing, and everyone we encountered was wonderful. However, these five employees really stood out to me and made our experience even more special. They deserve so much recognition for their exceptional service and hospitality!”

“This resort was amazing. From the moment you arrive everyone's so nice. The service provide be the staff was top tier. Everyone's so pleasant and warm. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are immaculately kept, comfortable, and spacious. My favorite part of this resort are the people. They made us feel at home....it felt like being around family. It was a birthday trip and they celebrated me every moment. The day of my birthday I received a birthday song at breakfast and at dinner. Our assigned host for the week was Juan Carlos. He was the best. We loved him. We got so much value for this trip and it was quite affordable. Everything was included....we paid for the spa experience and it was sooooo worth it! It was the most luxurious relaxing experience away from home. Our family came at the best time. It was a peaceful, serene time with my alot of noise. The poolside was very enjoyable.... not crowded at all. The food was decent, what you'd expect from a resort. Overall, my family and I loved our stay here. We'll miss everyone.”

“We went to the Paradisus at the end of July and stayed in the Family Concierge section. Our concierge was wonderful and the room location was convenient to the family pool.
Check-in - awesome. We had family concierge, so check-in was in an airconditioned area with snacks and drinks. At this point, I think our kids would have had meltdowns if we had regular check-in. Our concierge gave us a quick tour of the hotel and received our dining preferences. Messaging with the concierge was through WhatsApp, which was convenient.
Kids Club - major disappointment. This is definitely geared towards younger kids (less than 6). My 6-year old was content for maybe 15 minutes and our slightly older kids didn't even want to go inside. Some of the planned activities seemed interesting, but not interesting enough for any of my kids to want to participate, and I would say most were geared more towards girls. We had planned to use the kids club so that we could get a little bit of kid-free time at the pool, but this didn't work out. Overall, there was nothing (free) for our boys to do. We checked out the arcade/gaming room, but even that didn't interest them and it cost extra.
Family pool - kids loved the slides, though bring swimmies/life jacket if you have younger kids because the water by the slides is not shallow. We also brought rafts which made the pool much more enjoyable. I appreciated that there was a lifeguard who did a pretty good job at keeping order. We had a cabana for two days--highly recommend, especially for Saturday when it got extremely busy. We did drift down towards the other part of the pool and chairs appeared to be much harder to find than in the family section. Drink service at the pool was generally good.
Beach - seaweed was in abundance, but my kids didn't really care. The waves were calm for the most part. Not many people were in the water while we were there.
Restaurants - the big issue we had was the hours. At home, because of school and sports, my kids are used to eating dinner around 5. There is nothing open at 5. And for lunch, my kids were starving by 11:30 because they were playing at the pool by 9 am. The buffet didn't open until 12:30, and there were only limited food options at noon. My youngest son is also very picky, and he had a hard time finding food at the buffet and restaurants. He hated the chicken nuggets (I have to agree with him here), and though they always had pizza, he only likes cheese pizza, which wasn't always an option. Most of the food options were in a sauce or heavily seasoned. I understand we're in a foreign country, but some simpler options (even having french fries all the time!) would have been appreciated. However, we did love that the food was labeled with allergen information. Our favorite restaurant was the Japanese restaurant--great food and service. We did get room service twice and it was good and timely both times. There was a little coffee bar on the ground floor of our pyramid, which was convenient. It also had little snacks, desserts, and soda. We went there several times a day.
Nature cruise - the boat ride came with our room category. It was billed as a peaceful sunset nature cruise, but it was more like an adult booze cruise with little educational value. It was somewhat of a hassle to get on the cruise too, so if you don't fit it into your stay, I don't think you're missing anything.
Overall, we enjoyed our trip and I highly recommend getting the family concierge if you have kids -- it just makes things run more smoothly. With few exceptions, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, but due to the lack of activities for our kids, I don't think we would return.”
