So the people are the nicest ever l !! The hotel part of the four seasons is to die for and perfect. The villas are a little old !! Need a make over !! Las verandas needs a re do bad. The best part of the hotel is the animal sanctuary. I have donated and spent time there. It’s beyond heartbreaking and makes me so sad. Please if anyone can donate and adopt those poor abused animals. I will be back and definitely only stay in the hotel part. Over all amazing. Definitely just the villa was the only downfall. The staff was the best ever and the food was delicious. Stay in the HOTEL !!

“Worst meal ever , complained and nothing , for a large organisation to avoid remaking my ceaser salad is unacceptable and to be told croutons , bacon and anchovies are not necessary, they are boasting a Michelin chef , don’t believe it , Very rude not to acknowledge a complaint”

“Great property, although it does feel a bit dated. The beach is just OK. The entranceway to the hotel is spectacularly manicured. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite that was well maintained. Everything is pretty on point. Hotel breakfast was great too although dinner lacked flavor. Over all a good stay. ”

“This was our first time staying in both Puerto Rico and a St. Regis hotel- and both exceeded our expectations. From check in to check out- everything was wonderful. First and foremost is the staff. Everybody who works here is polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The grounds are lush and beautiful and everything you’d want in a tropical getaway. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. This was also one of the largest bathrooms we’ve ever seen in a non-suite room. The bathroom has a rain shower head and for once, the water pressure was adequate. That’s usually rare for many hotels. I will say this though, the room isn’t completely dark at night, all sorts of flashing and bright lights, and the drapes do not block all the sun in the mornings. Bring a sleeping mask if you’re sensitive to light. Also- you’re in the jungle, the local frogs and insects can be quite noisy at night. The rooms block nosies quite well, but again, if you’re sensitive- bring earplugs. The pool is large, clean, and finding seats was never an issue. (The pool is also open 24 hours.) The staff at the pool were very attentive. The beach is pretty, but due to where the resort is situated, red flags are usually up due to strong rip currents. Not safe for swimming but you could still wade out a decent amount before it gets dangerous. Dining options are limited on property but having said that, all the food was excellent. You could eat here every day and it would be fine. However, I do recommend renting a car and getting out for dinners once in a while- well worth it since getting a taxi or uber is difficult and expensive. All in all, a wonderful experience. This location is becoming a Four Seasons in the fall, but I’m sure the high quality of service will continue.”

“We had an amazing 6 day stay at the resort with my family. This place had everything you could ever ask for from a luxury resort in a beautiful location. When we arrived, we received a very yummy juice with rum infused for the adults. We were helped by a kind valet for our rental car. The valet cost $24 a night and was available 24/7. The room was spacious and stacked with complimentary amenities. This included a nightly delivery of cookies, slippers, pillow spray, jewelry trays and more. We often found random helpful surprises every day when we came back to the room. There was service twice a day and the maid was very sweet. The room included a luxury collection of shampoo and other products that we actually used at home as well. The beach was a very short walk away from our room. We only walked over a few times, partly due to our love for the pool, but it was amazing. The sand was clean and the water was very warm. The beach was big and had chairs and other places to sit. The pool was extremely clean and very large, with different areas so you could find somewhere nice to enjoy. They set up chairs, towels, and umbrellas for us everyday so we could swim or tan whenever we wanted. The breakfast was very tasty and included fruit, many drinks, and a variety of eggs, pastries, and others. All eateries in the resort included both tradition Puerto Rican food and traditional American cuisine. The buffet cost $45 per person while a food meal by the pool cost $20-25. All of the food was fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and we never encountered someone who wasn't willing to help. We were often offered water bottles, juices, or golf cart rides to where we needed to go. They spoke fluent english and spanish and were very sweet. They told us stories of the area and suggestions of how to spend our time. Shoutout Yariel! The resort was filled with useful amenities as well, including a 18+ spa, gym, free kayaking on the lake along with nature tours. This kept us busy all day long. The resort was also in a prime location for exploring outside of the resort. This included a short drive to both San Juan, nearby beach towns, and El Yunque Rainforest. I would truly recommend this resort to anyone traveling, either for a romantic getaway or even a whole family trip for young kids. They provided everything you would ever need in a private environment that did not feel commercial. Definitely 5 stars!!!”

“A very nice four night stay at this beautiful property. The staff members were Excellent- great service and warm and friendly. I would especially commend NIXALI, who was a server that took great care of us in our cabana, and who also led a small team that handled a catered dinner for eight adults and five children in our suite. She was Terrific and took special care of the children, even cutting up apples for them. Food and Beverage Mgr. Stacy put together that event on very short notice and was most gracious. Other standouts were Jesus (restaurant and cabana)Hector (restaurant) and GFrancisco (cabana lead). Great Stay!”

“We just got back from a four night trip and the experience was lovely. The grounds of the St. Regis Bahia Beach are absolutely beautiful and every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive and helpful. I know the resort is becoming a Four Seasons later this year and I hope they’re planning on keeping all the staff. We were upgraded to a suite which was massive and had two full bathrooms. It was perfect for us because I’m an early riser and my partner isn’t and the layout made it possible for me to get up, go to the gym and then come back and shower and get ready for the day while he slept in. As for the downsides, the food was expensive, as you’d expect and ranged from okay to very good. None of the lights worked in the living room of our suite for some reason. We weren’t using it at night so it didn’t really matter, but it was odd. The biggest downside was that there was a cat I wanted to adopt at the animal shelter but when I came back the next two days the shelter was closed, so I didn’t get to adopt him. However, the staff explained the shelter was closed because the shelter staff was doing rescue work, which is a very good reason to be closed! Lastly, I know the grackles at Seagrapes are a menace and I’m sure they’re very annoying to the employees but I kind of loved them.”

“Our family has been here for just under a week and I couldn’t wait to get home to share this review! We’ve had the most beautiful time! The St Regis Bahia Beach property IS STUNNING and expansive. While the hotel has a number of guests, there is so much space that most days we had entire sections of the pool and beach to ourselves. No fighting for pool chairs here! There is so much to do - the beach, pools (on property and at the nearby Beach Club), the lake obstacle course, kayaks, paddle boards, biking, hiking, kids club and animal sanctuary - and that’s just a snapshot! The food is top notch and the service is impeccable. Everyone is so kind, friendly and thoughtful. They cannot do enough to ensure you’re comfortable and having the best time. A few specific shout outs to Angela, Josh and Hector at breakfast service, Alicia at the pool, Afiya ar the spa, and Jose in butler service - the MOST friendly and warm - made us feel special and right at home! We cannot recommend this gorgeous place enough. It has been our most special family vacation!”

  • Very good resort and staff but not excellent

    10/10

“This probably a true 4.5 star hotel experience. It’s in need of a little refreshing and updating (I know Four Seasons is taking over soon so I’m sure it’ll come with that change). The staff is very good, but not excellent. Also will improve with FS in charge I’m sure. The beach was too rough and windy for us to utilize when we visited which was quite a disappointment with our four year old. Especially to fly 4.5 hours for a beach. Maybe due to it being February but it seemed like that was the time to visit? We loved the size of the rooms- huge bathrooms, nice entrance way, luggage storage area and a really nice sized porch. We had two queen beds for my husband, myself and our toddler and we didn’t feel on top of each other at all. We loved the proximity to El Yunque- highly recommend visiting. We rented a Jeep for El Yunque, restaurants off the resort and Old Town which really enhanced our trip and made it memorable. The pool here is probably one of the nicest I’ve ever been to (and we’ve been to A LOT of nice resorts all over the world- see previous reviews). There’s some iguanas that swim through which we enjoyed. The pool was NOT heated though so we were definitely freezing from time to time, again this is February. All in all, a great expansive resort. Excited to see what Four Seasons does with it to improve service and update- will return once it has changed hands as they have some work to do to make it a true five star property.”

“Such a beautiful hotel! We only spent two days there but made the most of it. Our suite was comfortable and clean. Loved the shower and products. The pool area is spacious and beautifully landscaped. The food was solid and the service was top notch. The nightly rituals also made for a special stay. Would definitely visit again.”

“The service at this resort is above and beyond anywhere i have stayed in the world. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They worked together as a team and followed through when we needed assitance. For example, my daughter LOVED the nightly smores. A couple nights the smores were not available. So we asked Emmanuel at Seagrapes if they woud be out that night. There was no plan for smores....BUT he said they could make some for my daughter! He passed that message to the following manager and when we came out at 6pm, they were all set up for smores! My daughter was so excited! This is a small example but our entire trip was like this! Josh was an incredible server. Vivianette helped us get to go breakfast when we had a very early excusion! The butlers even had breakfast ready IN OUR CAR one day we were leaving early! The ladies who gave us cookies for turndown service were so friendly. The team working the pool and chair service was awesome. There was never a line at valet or the restaurants. We had an A plus experience and i credit the service. Wow. Way to go!”

“The resort is absolutely beautiful with lots of activities for kids. We enjoyed the bikes, s’mores, pool, beach, driving range and animal shelter. I would note that the turn down service was inconsistent and we were charged a different amount for breakfast each day (with the same order). More restaurant options would be nice, but we were satisfied with what was available.”

“Can’t believe I forgot to review this place. We are at a different beach resort now and it reminded me how much more we enjoyed the St Regis Bahia Beach. Beautiful property, great service, great rooms. Yeah it is on the pricey side (and $99 resort fee is ridiculous) but the property is great and the food is very good. It is too bad they are deflagging from St Regis / Bonvoy, that makes us less likely to return.”
