“We treated ourselves to a night at Galle Face Hotel for our last night in Sri Lanka and we weren't disappointed. We were pleased to be given an upgrade to an Ocean View room by the lovely front desk staff, Ivoni, Belinda and Maduka made us feel very special and welcome. The dinner and breakfasts were fantastic and very reasonably priced considering the location and quality. We will strongly recommend the Galle Face Hotel experience to any friends visiting Colombo in future.”

“The upgrade to a large balcony right on the ocean front was a fantastic start to a really enjoyable stay in such a treasure of a hotel. There is nothing you could want for. Great place to unwind after 2,222km driving a tuktuk around the entire country.”

“The Galle Face Hotel is a gorgeous place with lots of history. We were made to feel welcome as soon as the car we arrived and had the doors opened. The hotel tour was given by a lovely hostess called Sanjana who despite only being there a short time had a great knowledge of the buildings history. Directed by the customer services manager they did a great job. All of the staff were polite and attentive and I would definitely recommend staying at the Galle Face Hotel.”

“We were upgraded to a room with a sea view. It was a In one of the older parts of the hotel and we loved the space, the timber furnishings and the feeling that we were experiencing what it must have been like to stay there during colonial times. The staff were exemplary , the ocean side pool and flag lowering ceremony a highlight. There were many dining choices and breakfast on the verandah was fabulous. Sanjana graciously showed us around the hotel and pointed out many historical facts associated with its long history. The hotel can be proud it its endeavours to preserve and celebrate a byegone era while also providing a high degree of comfort to their guests.”
