“We stayed in the beachfront villa to celebrate our honeymoon and it truly was so special! The villa was fantastic and perfectly located on the beach, with a dedicated beach bed. The service all around the resort was impeccable. The food was good, it was well located, and we overall loved celebrating and relaxing at the Layana!”

“My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Layana. The location is absolutely stunning. You’re surrounded by lush nature and the beach landscape is memorable. We’ve had our most beautiful sunset here. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious and the bed is very comfortable. We’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner every day at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Perhaps the breakfast could use a bit more variety. All the meals we had were carefully made, and we especially loved the prawn curry and mango sticky rice. The staff is super friendly, helpful and very attentive. The snorkeling trip we took with them to Koh Rok & Haa was well organized and we had a great time. Overall, I’d say you won’t go wrong by choosing Layana. It’s simply beautiful.”

“We stayed at Layana for 3 nights and we wished we booked to stay for longer! One of the pools was right next to the beach, or there were loungers on the beach if you want to be closer to the sea. The whole resort was kept immaculate and the staff were really friendly and helpful, they came round and kept our drinking water topped up and passed out cold towel and small snacks. I am coeliac so can’t eat gluten and they were extremely accommodating at all meals to make sure I had something available. I had gluten free bread at breakfast and lunch and tuna steaks, red snapper, curry and ribs at dinner. The dinner we had was incredible, and reasonably priced for such a high end resort. The rooms were spacious, well designed and conveniently located just a few minutes max from the pool/beach. We used the paddle boards that were provided for free as well as the bikes where Thad took us on a sunrise tour, he was brilliant. Thanks Thad! If anyone wants a luxurious stay in a beautiful setting with friendly and welcoming staff, then Layana is the place for you. Thanks for having us, we hope to visit again”
A Quiet Adults-only hotel on the beach

“We had been recommended to stay at the Layana - and we were looking forward to staying 5 x nights and had pre-paid for the accommodation. Unfortunately when we arrived, it wasn't what we expected. It's a small boutique hotel, which we really love, and it's right on the beach, but the pool area is so tiny and all crammed in, all daybeds are right next to each other, looking across a very small pool directly at each other, and they are all in the shade and there's not enough for the 53 rooms of the hotel. There are about 8 daybeds on the beach, but these are all taken very quickly before breakfast so you need to get up early and grab one. There is an outdoor lounge next to the pool, and a small smoking open-area next to that - so there isn't a lot of grounds/space around the pool to get sun, relax, have privacy and not sit on top of another couple. Being an Adults only hotel is what we wanted, but we found most of the guests were return guests and knew each other and had their designated lounges and it felt very orchestrated, and also very crammed in without much choice. It's a beautiful hotel, the grounds are lovely, and the rooms are fine - even though we were placed at the very back of the hotel and didn't get an outside garden area with daybeds. The breakfast was incredible, great quality and lots of choice - but again, you have to try and get a table in the shade as everyone has already taken their favourite table, so if you don't get there early - you sit in the sun whilst eating. Not being able to find a sun lounge to spend the day or a breakfast table felt very rushed and pre-planned, so we didn't feel relaxed. We actually checked out 3 x days early and went to another hotel. We think the Layana would suit an older couple looking for quiet time in the shade and are ok with a small pool area and restaurant area. Special thanks to Franke the GM who really tried to help and please us, and bent over backwards to try and help our situation, so a big thank you!!!”

“From the moment we got off the plane into a Layana luxury car then onto a very comfortable Layana speed boat then a few steps on beautiful Long Beach into Layana Resort & Spa I was in heaven. The manager and staff so friendly and helpful. Accomodation beautiful, comfortable and so clean. The pools were fantastic. The food was delicious the cocktails were yum. But the best part was the quietness. I will definitely be back.”

“Just returned from a wonderful holiday at this beautiful hotel. The location on Koh Lanta Long Beach is fantastic and the rooms and pool were great. The bedrooms are beautifully kept and all of the staff go out of their way to help in any way they can. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and we ate several times in the restaurant in the evenings both from their 'set dinner's' and À la carte and found the food to be extremely good. We especially enjoyed the White Party night and buffet and our favourite part of the day was during Happy Hour watching the most stunning sunsets. It is great that they offer outings (at a cost) and we all enjoyed the snorkelling full day boat trip especially the lunch set up on the most beautiful beach I have ever seen with crystal clear waters. I was lucky enough to be treated to a Mother's Day massage by my daughters in the Spa and it was absolutely heavenly. This was a special family holiday, to celebrate our daughter's engagement and came at the end of her 6 months travelling so we all really enjoyed the luxury and the rest. Thank you Layana”

“This hotel was our favourite out of the six hotels we stayed in on our latest tour of Thailand. It is set in beautiful grounds at the end of a lovely tree lined private drive. We were welcomed by first class reception staff and introduced to the very hands on manager Franck Delen before being taken to our stunning Deluxe Garden Pavilion room. Every aspect of this hotel is truly 5 star, the staff, food, location, the grounds, beach and the lovely warm sea and swimming pools. The manager Franck is seen out and about every day, he makes it clear he wants to hear about any concerns guests may have, he is friendly and very approachable. All staff here are first class without exception, those members of staff we got to know best working on bar service were, Toni, Siri and Slim, all of which did a great job. Franck, you have a great team there, yourself and your staff made us very welcome during our recent stay with you while visiting Koh Lanta from England. Thanks to all concerned for a great stay, we hope to return for another stay soon.”

“This is a new account I have reviewed layana many times, Manged by Franck with care, attention and passion a great hotelier, My stay this March was incredible meeting people return Guests over the years I have stayed at Layana its adults only a bonus,. the staff here make me want to return the passion for service is incredible I have Known some of the staff a long time many years to see Khun Yat master his skills Khun keems progress is a incredible experience then the staples Khun Dart, Ann , Sue, Slim ,Pool Nan , Bar Nan ,Siri , Soriya Nat, Pond , Nutch , Noona, Layla , Tad , Fin, and the room ladys and guys ,Bai Yai , Not forgetting the layana 1 and 2 crews Khun Od , Sun, Duk , and the man that makes all these boat trips worth it Khun Mhee I love this resort it works every time superb service everytime and my room lady Bai Yai and all the girls and guys from house keeping and yes I have booked for 2027 what make this resort is its Thai service which is astonishing recommendation 4 island tour on layana 1 if i have forgotton to mention anyone please accept my apologies your all fantastic see you soon god willing Layana”

“It's not obvious from the descriptions that this is a small, intimate resort. I would guess they have at most 100 guests, yet they have probably 40 staff. That makes for an incredibly high level of personal attention. If you are looking for beach bars and night life, this is not it. If you're looking to get away from the madness of the world while still surrounded by luxury, this is the place. In Hawaii equivalency, this is Kawaii, not Waikiki. Also, in general, I hate "organized fun" because it's too cheesy. Yet every event they organized was low key, classy and in good taste. It goes without saying that the food was great, the grounds immaculate and the surroundings pristine.”

“We have recently returned home after a 13 night stay at Layana. The location is stunning - right on the beach and it was amazing to sit and have breakfast or dinner with your toes in the sand! We were very happy with our room, which was clean and modern with a large bathroom with a great shower. Good air con and also ceiling fans. We enjoyed the dinner events arranged by the hotel- Thai Buffet and Beach BBQ with fire show. We felt the standard evening menu at the restaurant was limited if you are a vegetarian or non fish eater. We were also a bit disappointed that sunbeds were regularly reserved from 7am, with sometimes people not using them until midday. I had a massage at the spa which was wonderful. All the staff without exception were incredibly friendly and eager to ensure you had everything you needed. The reception staff looked after us on our departure and brought forward our transfer as there were long delays reaching the ferry. We also had assistance at Krabi airport by a Layana representative, which was a nice touch. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would return in a heartbeat.”

“5 Stars out of 5! What can’t i say about this beautiful resort and the staff, lead fearlessly by their amazing GM Franc. From the moment we arrived by boat directly onto the stunning beach all expectations were exceeded! Rooms impeccable, both pools stunning, sunsets each evening spectacular whilst enjoying the hotels happy hour each evening, and breakfast each morning offered something different each day. Coffee was great too! We loved it so much we will be back again next year.”

“My wife and I from CA, USA stayed here for a week and it was incredible stay! From the moment we got off the plane in Krabi and greeted by a Layana transportation employee to the time we landed on the beach via a Layana boat and greeted by a few staff on management it was incredible! Laila was our point person for our stay and she handled all of our needs via WhatsApp messenger! She was incredible! The resort is almost off the charts! It is beautiful!! We stayed in an Ocean Villa which was off the charts!! I’d highly recommend a villa if available even though all the other rooms are nice as well, since someone we met showed us their accommodations. Most all of the other guests were so friendly. The buffet breakfast was super nice. I can’t say enough about the staff they are above and beyond nice. What was impressive is the GM Frank personally was onsite almost everyday making sure All guests were happy and introduced himself to every guest and so did his assistant GM Toni. Those two were great but my hat goes off to all the employees to name a few and for those I’ve forgotten but all of you made our trip extremely special. From my beach crew Nan, Guy, No Name:), Kung, Feen. We did a snorkel trip one day that was incredible highly recommend it was picturesque! The food at the resort was great and prices were fair but not cheap. Rent a scooter highly recommend think it was around $5 for a day so just do it for your entire stay. The location is not too busy so it was easy for us to get around on the scooter and felt safe because not a lot of traffic. There were two great restaurants outside the resort I highly recommend. Danny’s I believe was the name and Shanti Beach House! Great value and great owners!! We were there a week and I’d say that was about right. Being from CA we love the beach and can relax for hours and hours on the beach and this place is fantastic for that. The beach is beautiful and lots of room from the resort to the water line. I will say there are other resorts on each side going all the way down the beach and Layana sticks out like a rose compared to all others. I will say once you scooter or walk out of the resort it’s definitely 3rd world which is reality. We liked seeing all the different things around and sure enjoyed returning to Layana after adventuring.”

“We have just returned from a 9 nights stay at the Layana. We couldn’t fault the hotel, everything and everyone is fantastic. The well organised team is led by manager Frank who is always visible and on hand if you need support or tips! Every member of staff is a credit to the hotel but a special mention to Nuch, Dart and Khom who went above and beyond every time they saw us! We did the hotel run snorkel trip which was well worth the money and was run by a brilliant boat crew. Thank you team Layana we will be back!”
