We had a wonderful time at this hotel 18th-23rd March.
The staff were so attentive and the breakfast was amazing.
They upgraded our room to a pool one for the last 2 nights and we received a free one hour massage.

“I have just completed the hotel's survey following our return from this amazing hotel and resort, our fifth visit in 15 years. But other people need to learn of what we said to management. Their hotel needs to be shared. I truly hope I have not missed anyone out in the appreciation commentary.
The "feel", the environment, the accommodations, the welcome, the food, the hospitality, the service received, the Spa, the facilities - just simply outstanding.
"The security person at the hotel reception entrance (O-un?). He is simply superb. The porter team of Wang. Hed. Pong. Kik. Boy. All fantastic. All the excellent reception team, led by Khun Nok. Restaurant teams of Pu, Eak, Pasuk, Tue, Jah, Carlo, Tang, Peter, Tong, Don, Su, Obb, Ice, Tee, Peah, Nammo, Takong and the superb Sakrai, Ying, Bew, as led by the really pleasant and helpful Cha. Marine was also lovely when we saw her. Spa team of Fern, Lucy and the super helpful Bassy. Great! Ead and Pla down by the beach. Great!
And Kookkik was outstanding throughout our stay. She is such a huge credit to the hotel. She never stops, and she is so kind and an excellent ambassador to the hotel. Hiro is a lovely man and such a great ambassador, too. Alongside the fantastic management team of Manuel and Mark, who are there each morning helping out at breakfast, they have an utterly brilliant team”.
The management showed kindness and understanding regarding our cancelled flights home, due to the Iran war, and our need to extend our stay.
Our rooms of 201 and 515 could not have been better. Not the cheapest hotel on the island, but you get great value and, as they say, you get what you pay for. Supremely clean, and the room maids and general housekeeping team are constantly ensuring cleanliness and service. The resort is serene and quiet. Just what we needed, but with entertainment of beach music to accompany your meal on certain nights, and themed dining, too.
There's always something going on, if you need it, but entertainment can also be avoided if you just need space and relaxation. The resort never feels busy, despite high occupancy at all times, and we never felt anything but calm and serene.
We'll be back soon, all being well.”

Wonderful massages, great food and stunning views. The 'hideaway' is a little bit of a longer walk with some steps but oh mu goodness the views and privacy are so worth it. “A delightful resort with attentiveness of Staff the highlight. We stayed 10 nights and thoroughly recommend.
A few points: Three very good restaurants with excellent range of Thai dishes and beautiful breakfast. Large, inviting pool and another more secluded adult pool further up the hill. Gym is reasonably sparse but adequate. Beach hire was good with two paddle boards and kayaks plus yacht. Be mindful there are lots of steps but staff drive buggies whenever needed. Rooms excellent quality and servicing.”
The hotel has such a welcoming and tranquil feel to it. Rooms, service and staff are so friendly and welcoming.

“My last visit to Tongsai Bay was in 2009 and it is beyond me why I waited so long to return. I could literally feel the stress drain from my body the moment I arrived and the ensuing serenity lasted my entire stay. My partner and I are already looking into dates for our return next year if not sooner.
What makes this resort special is the beautiful location and the outstanding staff who strive in a non-intrusive manner to ensure your every need is met. The food is amazing and the food and beverage staff take absolute pride in their work. If you are fortunate to be staying on a Saturday night, don't miss out on the Thai Street Food BBQ Buffet as there are so many different Thai dishes that are carefully prepared and absolutely worth discovering - I'm hungry just thinking about it!! In fact, we enjoyed the buffet so much, we took a private wellbeing cooking class later in the week at the Evol restaurant as I simply had to discover more about the food and preparation of.
While we primarily stayed in our pool villa during our stay (Room 515 - see the photos and you'll understand why), the resort offers a range of daily activities for adults and children to participate in. Bottom line, don't think twice about booking your stay at Garrya Tongsai Bay as you won't regret it.”

“We stayed here on a 10 day holiday in February 26. It truly was a relaxing holiday where we felt welcomed and valued.
The accommodation we chose was the seafront suite. It was spacious and comfortable with a glorious outlook over the bay. The food was outstanding with events and tastings adding to this amazing experience. All of the staff were a credit to the establishment. We found everyone to be friendly, polite, professional and helpful. Any request for help was met with an immediate response and resolution. The resort has many interest based activities which are free to enjoy ( gym, yoga, kayaking, paddlebording, snorkeling, swimming).
We loved our time here so much that within days of returning home, we booked to revisit in February 27. This resort comes hightly recommended.”

“Our fourth stay at Tongsai Bay, and our feelings remain exactly the same.
It is still everything we’ve come to love about this place. The setting, the atmosphere, the way the resort blends so naturally into its surroundings. Nothing feels forced, nothing feels overdone. It just works.
The villas are as comfortable and peaceful as ever, the food continues to be excellent across the restaurants, and the overall experience is consistently high quality.
What really sets Tongsai apart, though, is the feeling it gives you. Calm, unhurried, and genuinely relaxing. It is very easy to slip into the rhythm of the place and completely switch off.
A very special thank you to Ao, Sakrai, Reen, Rain, Su, Tang, Kookik, Nano, Obb, Fon, Don, Cha and Pu for looking after us so well throughout our stay.
Returning for a fourth time says more than anything else we could put into words.

The hotel is truly incredible, the accommodation and surroundings are breath taking. This is why we keep coming back year after year.
What really makes the hotel is the staff, Every single person who works here cares. They cannot do enough for you. They really want to make your stay as memorable as possible and they truly deliver.
We have visited a number of 5 star hotels all over the world and nothing compares to the personal service you receive here.
As soon as I get back I am wanting to rebook for the following year which is a true testament to the managers Mark and Manuel and all of the staff.

“It’s our second time in Garrya, a very nice place, inside a park. Rooms are clean, big, with view to the sea. Our room had a private pool. In addition there are 2 swimming pools, path to the sea, and a yoga room. The service is excellent. Breakfasts are great.”

The level of personal service displayed by all staff at this hotel was excellent.
We stayed in a beachfront room with a lovely sea view.
The level of cleanliness of the room was faultless.
We ate at Rhoy Rhoy and Fish Tales restaurants on site and were blown away by the quality of the food at both restaurants.
We attended the Beach BBQ and were stunned by the food and the fire display.( well worth it).
The breakfast,as has been mentioned by other contributors,provides a memorable start to your day here.
Could I mention here Kookik, Rain and Reen, who provided friendly attentive service here.
At Fish Tails Obb and Fon provided smiling service.
We did the cookery course provided by the hotel.
We visited the hotel’s vegetable garden accompanied by Tang , who gave us an informative show around.
We then were taught by the delightful Joy how to prepare a selection of delicious Thai dishes ( which we’re already cooking in UK).
Wi fi throughout the hotel grounds was good.
The hotel will provide a pick up service from the airport .
It also provides a shuttle service to local places of interest ( we used it to visit the Buddhist temples a short distance away).
We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
If we can, we’ll return.”

The food at FishTales was an absolute highlight. Every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of fresh flavours. Dining there became something we looked forward to each day.
We also have to give special mention to the wonderful staff around the pool. They went above and beyond to keep everyone comfortable — ensuring we were constantly hydrated, offering refreshing cold towels, and surprising us with little treats throughout the day. Their attentiveness really elevated the whole experience and made lounging by the pool feel effortlessly luxurious.

“My husband and I spent four nights at Garrya Tongsai Bay after starting our Thailand holiday in Bangkok. We were welcomed with private transportation at the Koh Samui airport, complete with water and cold towels. The check-in process was relaxing and took place on a terrace overlooking the ocean.
We stayed in a seaview hillside pool suite. While not as large as some of the villas, it was extremely spacious and included a private pool with two lounge chairs. All the accommodations seem lovingly maintained and were clearly well-built to begin with. We’ve stayed in Four Seasons properties as well as The Standard Hua Hin (right after it was built) and this was our favorite. The resort isn’t super large, so the employees and our fellow guests quickly started to look familiar. We loved the friendly, intimate atmosphere, but if you want to blend in on a larger resort or prize anonymity, this one isn’t for you. We also liked how eco-friendly it was, things like delivering meal leftovers in real dishes rather than wasteful disposable packaging and daily educational nature walks stood out to us.
The service and dining punch well above their weight and are a large part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. Fish Tales offers nightly dinner, pool bar food service, and lunch. EVOL has healthier options, including multiple items for vegans. Rhoy Rhoy is a slightly more formal dinner option and is the site of the bountiful breakfast buffet each morning. The cocktail list available by the pool or via room service is excellent. We drank our way through most of it and nothing was a disappointment. I also want to give a special shout out to the lovely woman making fresh juices at breakfast each day. She is a real gem and we enjoyed seeing her!
Overall as we prepare to leave, we feel sad to go but grateful for our memorable and relaxing stay. Next time we’re in Koh Samui we will strongly consider returning. There are many outstanding resorts on the island, but this one blends service, approachable luxury, and care for the environment in a really lovely way. Thank you to the entire team!”
