We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at Parrot Cay. We stayed in villa 1021 at the very end of the beach and our butler Richard made our vacation perfect. He was thoughtful about our needs and interests and made sure that we were taken care of the entire time, from showing us around the island to getting us great tables and taking care of us at breakfast, lunch and dinner, to helping us book spa appointments and yoga, and taking us to plant a coconut tree - it was a fabulous weekend in a beautiful location. All of the staff are delightful and the resort is private, calm and beautiful.

  • Great stay on Parrot Cay

    10/10

    GregB876 · Couples · 2026-01-04

“Really great stay on Parrot Cay. This was after Ambergris Cay, Salt Cay and Provo and almost three week holiday, sadly only three night on Parrot Cay. This was our favourite stop. WHAT WAS GREAT : (1) The staff & the service - outstanding and we especially loved the many staff from Bali (2) Room - very nice inside (3) Food - was great especially the Asian food (4) The bar by the beach - outstanding and amazing cocktails (5) Top management - outstanding, check ed all was OK, very good (6) The Bone Fishing - Capt Eddy in his skiff from Provo, it was outsourced but amazing and he was great. Loads of bone fish and the mangroves are stunning and managed to catch a 10lb plus fish for the first time (7) Spa - The massages were as good as it gets anywhere in the world. NOT SO GREAT (1) The boat pick up - OK but boat not as luxury as we would have expected from a resort like this (2) Bikes - should be given to you and parked by your room on arrival (3) The normal room - has no sea view, not great but we got used to it (4) The clubhouse - not great, very uncomfortable dining tables and chairs on the terrace. The terracotta tiles have got to go and be replaced by light coloured natural stone, they look dirty and tired and the white walls are not great either, glass would be way better (5) The gardens - need more tending and more hibiscus and bouganvilia (flowering plants). Lots of dead leaves everywhere and plants not in great shape and everywhere needs raking out. Overall very good and we will come back”

  • A bit Disappointing

“We stayed at this hotel in November. Overall, the experience was decent, but the cleaning could definitely be better. We also found cockroaches in the room, which was quite disappointing. Another issue was the coffee. It was extremely watery — I usually enjoy filtered coffee, but this one tasted as if they were saving on the beans. It was barely colored and had no flavor at all. In a place that presents itself as high-end, you expect a much better quality of coffee. But the ocean and the beach was lovely)”

  • Parrot Cay Perfection

“It's been two weeks since leaving Como Parrot Cay and not a day has gone by that hasn't seen me daydreaming of this absolutely perfect paradise. The service was incredibly top-notch, the food was varied and delicious (if not outrageously expensive), and the resort itself was lush and clean. If you can pry yourself away from the adults only pool or private beach, do yourself a favor and book their traditional Como massage - perhaps one of the best massages I've ever experienced. The spa itself was stunning and we loved the amenities offered there also. We will most certainly be back.”

“Unforgettable experience, made the most special by our butler Joy, who took great care of our family, especially our toddler. The Family Beach House was our own little slice of paradise, as we had a gorgeous private pool and beach set up. The other families we met have been returning year after year, and now we understand why. We cannot wait to return.”

“It may take decades to find the perfect spot . last week we found it! after having stayed at every 5 start property in the caribbean over the last 20 years we couldn’t wait to visit Parrot Cay. honestly the best place in the caribbean ! hands down absolutely perfect. The staff, the resort, the food, the service, exceptional. nothing should detract or question you wanting to plan your stay here. this is private island living, for those who don’t want anything more. absolute perfection and we all can’t wait to be back in May.”

  • Paradise in the Caribbean. COMO Parrot Cay is amazing!

“The hotel island is a paradise; the beach is always uncrowded and peaceful. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The food and service in the restaurants are excellent! If you want a private experience with impeccable service, I highly recommend staying at COMO Parrot Cay. My only minor complaint is that there are no child seats on the bikes. But I still give it five stars! I will definitely be back!”

  • Parrot Cay Paradise

“Today is the last full day of special indulgence at our Parrot Cay Family Beach house. The resort provided a private butler, Agung, to make sure all of our needs were met. Agung far exceeded our expectations and usually anticipated our needs before we even asked. Our beach house was very exclusive, steps from the beach, well appointed, and with a stunning view of the Caribbean. This is not a resort to party at but rather to refresh and reinvigorate from the grind. The beach houses and villas are the move at this resort rather than the main building.”

  • Not a five star....

    4/10

    Ontheroadagain3400 · Solo travel · 2025-05-03

“This is NOT a 5 Star place. The first room I checked into had serious issues with the AC and then was moved into another room. The second room seemed okay in the beginning but then there were several issues with the shower gear and on the last day, it was totally broke. The rooms are nice but the infrastructure and the serious gadgets like AC and Shower are not. The most amazing thing about this place is the people who work there. They are there to serve you from their heart and soul. It is soooo nice to have such people around. I loved them. The view, and the beach are divine. But this place needs major overall renovation. Thanks to the people who made my stay GRAND!”

  • Definitely not a luxury

    2/10

    Curiosity19590723962 · Couples · 2025-01-26

“Definitely not a luxury hotel – a complete disappointment One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a so-called luxury hotel. In reality, there is nothing luxurious about it except the ridiculously high prices. The staff only care about money and show zero interest in the guests’ comfort or well-being. The service is terrible—distant, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable for a place that claims to be high-end. The facilities are far from what they advertise, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The only good thing is the beach and the sea, but that alone doesn’t make up for everything else. I definitely do not recommend it.”

  • Disappointing Stay for the Price

    4/10

    NessaNYC · Couples · 2024-11-23

“As someone who has traveled extensively, I had high expectations for this resort given its price tag of over $2,000 per night. Unfortunately, while it has some bright spots, this property falls far short of the luxury it promises. What once might have been a 5-star paradise is now a tired, outdated shell in desperate need of a full renovation. Pros • Beautiful ocean: The natural surroundings are stunning, offering picture-perfect views. • Heated family pool: The family pool is warm and inviting, though the adult pool isn’t heated. • Friendly staff: The staff were a highlight of our stay. They were attentive, remembered us, and went above and beyond to salvage what could’ve been a disastrous experience. • Thoughtful touches: Complimentary sunscreen by the pool, a beach bag in the room, nightly maid gifts, and a stellar deep tissue massage added some luxury to the stay. • Convenience of gift shops: Having two on-site gift shops was a nice touch. Cons • Outdated facilities: The entire property is rundown. Poolside cushions are ripped, the family pool is old, and the wood accents are poorly maintained (often just painted over rather than properly restored). Rooms and walkways are in dire need of updates. • Limited dining options: Only one restaurant is open each night, and while they try to accommodate dietary preferences, the limited choices and reliance on room service are not ideal for a luxury resort. • Poor landscaping: The grounds are unkempt, with overgrown weeds and no vibrant flowers. It feels neglected rather than lush. • Cumbersome arrival process: Getting to the resort is a headache—over an hour and a half involving customs, taxis, boats, and golf carts. It’s exhausting and not at all streamlined. • Pricey food and drinks: The resort charges exorbitant rates for food and beverages, adding to the frustration. • Lack of soundproofing: Expect to hear your neighbors and operational noise from surrounding areas. • Disappointing views: The advertised “ocean view” was underwhelming— it’s a 5 minute walk from the beach and you can barely see the ocean over the canopy of the trees, save your money and go for a garden view instead. • Bugs: The property is swarming with flies, and I left covered in itchy bites. This is unacceptable for a high-end resort. • Accessibility issues: The long walks to the pool and beach are not suitable for guests with mobility challenges. • Basic toiletries: The refillable shampoo and conditioner dispensers felt cheap and unsanitary for a resort at this price point. Final Thoughts While the staff’s excellent service and a few thoughtful amenities kept this from being a total disaster, the overall experience was hugely disappointing. This resort is far from its former glory and doesn’t justify its exorbitant rates. Until significant renovations are made, I can’t recommend this property for anyone seeking a true luxury experience.”

  • Our favourite destination in the Caribbean.

    10/10

    neilrcuk · Family · 2024-09-08

“Absolutely superb away from it all resort. Everything from the excellent car VIP dock and boat/buggy transfers to the staff throughout the resort. The rooms were just as advertised and really comfortable. The beach club and family pool area superb. Kids club and staff the best anywhere on our extensive travels with indoor and lots of outdoor activities such as Hobby Cat sailing and fishing from the jetty etc. Only complaint is please try and cook eggs at breakfast as requested and ensure well done fried or pached eggs do not have runny white. Also had a problem with room service chicken curry not being cooked but otherwise excellent food especially at the beach restaurant. We enjoyed it that much we will return next year.”

  • Best hotel in the Caribbean!

    10/10

    Lozzie25 · Family · 2024-08-28

“Absolutely adored our stay here, our only regret was not spending the whole 10 days of our trip here! The beach is stunning, my 1.5 year old son loved the massive family pool and the remote location meant it felt a lot like being in the Maldives (compared to other hotels in T&C on the busy Grace Bay strip). The food was also fantastic - I was worried we would get sick of it after 5 days with no other dining options but we didn’t, it was much better than any of the restaurants we ate at in Provo earlier in our trip. The Asian meals in particular were a highlight. The biggest draw by far however was the staff, particularly all the staff in the restaurants. They were all so lovely, friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to entertain our son - even happily carrying him around at mealtimes when he got restless so we could eat our food! Many of them came from Bali or other parts of Asia and had worked in other Como hotels, and the level of service is miles above any other five star hotel I’ve stayed at in the Caribbean (and I’ve stayed at three others in T&C and many more on other islands), so Como has made a great decision in deciding to transfer staff from their Asian hotels. It made me miss living in Asia with easy access to the other Como hotels! We have stayed in luxury hotels all over the world, and it’s rare that we would choose to return to a hotel purely because of the staff (we are not the kind of people that love to interact with staff or other guests all day long when on holiday!) but in this case we definitely would. As some others have mentioned, the rooms are not particularly fancy (considering the high price point) though I would say that is common in T&C, and we found them comfortable and well equipped, and spent most of our time at the pool or beach anyway. Would love to return and stay at a beach villa one day, If I come into some more money! My one small complaint would be the activities centre - the girls working there were not super helpful or forthcoming with information and the mangroves tour we didn’t wasn’t great - really old SUP equipment and didn’t see much as we apparently went at the wrong time of day, but we weren’t informed of good/bad times to do it. All in all, we loved our stay here and are still talking about how amazing the trip was several weeks on. I hope we can return one day!”

“If pure relaxation amidst a quiet, natural setting is the objective, COMO Parrot Cay is the resort I would recommend. The private island means complete tranquility and welcomed isolation from noise and traffic. The service was excellent. I was impressed by the responsiveness to email questions before our arrival, the hospitality and wait staff and the payment question we had upon check out that was promptly tended to by Deborah at the front desk. I was impressed by the “aim to please” positive attitude by the staff especially during dining, by the pool and in the spa and this experience will encourage me to consider other COMO properties. Many of the staff have been with COMO for over one decade all over the world, which speaks highly of the company as an employer. The hotel is not inexpensive including food and drinks and some buildings could use a renovation. The villas looked amazing but we were pleased with our sea view room. Breakfast was delicious and special. We visited the Grace Bay area and were relieved we chose to stay at COMO Parrot Cay as it is world of difference in terms of tranquility and pure nature. Amazing service from start to finish.”
