From the time we arrived, bell desk, front desk, our room was not ready as we arrived early, however the front desk was very accommodating and had a room prepared for us as soon as possible. An oasis in the desert

“We recently spent a long weekend at the Arizona Biltmore while in town for a conference. The resort is amazing; a definite oasis in the desert. The pools and grounds are beautiful and the staff attentive and helpful. Averie, our server at McCarthy's our last night created one of the highlights of our trip. She was friendly and took a special interest in us. When we told her of our reason for celebration, she sincerely congratulated us and brought a free glass of champagne. We also wanted to give a shoutout to our nameless room cleaners. Rather than receiving a cursory cleaning (or none at all) offered at other hotels, they provided us with a fresh, clean room each day that was as nice as that offered on only the first night at most resorts. Yes, it is expensive but I highly recommend this resort for those who can afford it.”
An Architectural Dream

“There were so many dining and entertainment options on property. We loved being able to relax on at the resort on the days we weren’t exploring the area. As diamond members, we were upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise. The architectural design throughout the resort was beautiful, and the history was interesting. Thanks for the hospitality. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.”
Yes, it's expensive AND worth it!

“We were looking for a 5-start luxury property to celebrate our anniversary and since we had friends in the area, we opted to book a stay at this iconic property, now part of Hilton's Waldorf Astoria.
Our stay was in a "cottage" near the Citrus Club (more about that a bit later).
As this was our anniversary, I had contacted the concierge in advance to have roses delivered to my wife to help set the anniversary mood. We were delighted when we accompanied the porter to our room to discover those roses already placed in the living room along with a box of chocolates and a note from the hotel offering anniversary best wishes.
As expected the room was scrumptious with a full large bathroom as well as a half-bath that was located in the living room portion of that cottage. Outside was a seating area and fire pit for evening unwinding.
And the Citrus Club ... was a total hit for breakfast, lunch, snacks, specialty coffees and yes, mixed drinks. It was a separate oasis away from what was already an oasis of a fantastic property and given the typical cost of food/drink at this five-star property, the Citrus Club easily saved us multiple hundreds of dollars and provided a club-like get-away and all of this was for us about a 20 second walk from our cottage.
The pools, the on-site restaurants, the incredible lobby helped us celebrate our anniversary in style and the staff make us feel like royalty.
I could continue this review forever, but presumably you've already read the praise from many other reviewers.
Yes, a visit to this property will cost $$$$, but IMO, the cost was 100% worth the phenomenal experience.”
2026 4th

“4th of July 2026… Luv the Biltmore when ever we stay here. We did a staycation for the 4th we love the family atmosphere and friendly staff. The only negative was caught off guard when the called us to tell us the rooms we reserved where unavailable as off 4days before we checked in but the staff made it right. The paradise poolside rooms with there own lil courtyard I think our the best for family with lil kids. These rooms help with your own access to the the pool so this eliminates several issues.
We stayed in a villa this time and it’s the best 2 rooms kitchen and living room option to the other pool. The paradise pool is nice easy and the twist slide is kool.”
Pickleball

“Brendan Easterling, the tennis and pickleball pro at Arizona Biltmore, was fantastic! He went above and beyond to ensure I had a great week of pickleball. He contacted players to join him and me for competitive play each day. He gave me great tips on things to drill when I got back home. He’s an experienced coach, organized pro, and all-around great guy!”
Five stars all the way!

“An amazing place with excellent people! Everything you need is at the resort, no need to go out. The lady who checked us in was nice she went over the resort amenities quite well. The director met us and was very professional in accommodating our request. Our housekeeper Marylou and Elizabeth were very thorough and respectful of the personal space. Christopher from fitness center set us up to try pickle ball and made sure we were well hydrated. Lola at the pool is another great asset and all the lifeguards at the twister slide! Alyssa from Renata’s Hearth was an absolute delight. She is very upbeat, knowledegeable and thoughtful without being too intrusive during the meal. Thank you for making this a memorable summer vacation for our family! Hopefull we get to visit soon!”

“Room super pretty and comfortable. The bar and lobby area is exquisite. Pools are fun and relaxing and lots to choose from. We took the historic tour and I recommend it. It was super fun and ended with a Tequila Sunrise which was delicious. Friendly tour guide!”

“From check in Olivia, this was a great experience. I booked a room with Citrus Club access. It is open from 8am to 9pm. Very reminiscent of an upscale airport loung. Full bar and food inclusive. Marcel and Angel made top notch drinks. Small bites throughout the day. Tina also was great. Drake was a great concierge and had met us the previous day wondering about. He explained things about the hotel. No food or drink can leave the club which was disappointing as I had wanted to finish my wine in my room. The hotel has everything from pools, bars, shops including ice cream and clothing. Kim and Anastasia were great. Got some clothing at not crazy prices. We had dinner and listened to music in the lobby. Sarah was a great server. Had late snacks and drinks with local friends who came by. It would have seemed there would be more outside games like ping pong or corn tossing. There was one large chess game. The club had TVs, books but just one table game. It was a nice spot to cool down with a drink and snack. Also was able to check out there which was easier than doing it in the lobby. Great trip. I would stay longer next time. They do have special events to be sure to look for those.”
Beware the never-ending fees (even fees never disclosed)
4/10
garymelliere · Family · 2026-07-14
“Nice hotel but the never-ending fees have gotten out of control, especially fees that show up on the final bill that they never communicated and we never agreed to. Just some of the fees we were charged during our recent stay:
- Daily resort fee: typical these days but still stupid - if it's not optional or based on usage, just build it into the nightly room rate.
- Daily Historic Preservation Fee (nightly charge): positioned on their website as a way "to allow our guests to play an important role in preserving the Arizona Biltmore’s legacy"; however, let's be clear -- they're not 'allowing' guests anything, they're forcing guests to pay this whether they want to or not.
- Additional 2.929% Historic Preservation Fee applied to all on-property purchases
- Daily Housekeeping Fee: charged whether you use housekeeping services or not
- Room Service Delivery Charge: not mentioned on the room service menu and not apparently a set dollar amount or set percentage, so you have no idea what the fee will be until the food arrives (this is separate from the automatic gratuity they add to room service orders)
- 22% Service Charge/Gratuity: automatically applied to poolside, room service, and takeout orders
When I noticed some of the hidden fees/charges on the final invoice the morning of checkout and raised issues with the front desk, particularly the fees that had never been communicated in the reservation confirmation details, at check-in, or at the time of purchase, all I repeatedly got from the Front Desk Director was "I'm not reversing any charges." No explanation of why fees that were never communicated or agreed to were appropriate, just a stoic refusal to reverse the unapproved charges.
It's quite shocking and disappointing that a hotel of this stature and legacy takes every opportunity to squeeze every dollar possible out of guests and then refuses to explain the justification for the charges or remedy the situation when concerns are raised.”
A Step Back

“Knowing a little about the past history of the Biltmore and its unique architecture we decided to try the Stay in the Story package offered by the hotel.
Included in the package is an extensive tour of the Biltmore and its history starting with the original construction until the present. Robert our tour guide was amazing. He kept everything lively and entertaining with an unrivaled knowledge of the hotel.
Everyone on the tour had a great time and received a very excellent book on the Biltmore as well.
We have stayed at the Biltmore in the past and the service and facilities are outstanding. Every member of staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.
Especially Angel at the Citrus Club and Averie from McArthur's made for an even more wonderful stay.
We will be back soon.”
A classic for a reason.

“What can I say that has not already been said? Probably not much but here goes...
Arizona Biltmore is now part of the LXR range but I've also stayed when they were Waldorf-Astoria, as far as I can tell no difference.
Both times I've stayed in the Ocatilla wing. Rooms are nice, clean, well equipped, and perfectly beige (in all senses of the word). Linens have always been clean and crisp and the overall room is very quiet so a good nights rest is entirely up to you.
The resort really shines in the outdoor areas. Try out the different pools see which one is your favorite my personal fave is the Catalina which has never seemed very busy. The main pool "Paradise" is definitely the liveliest and the water slide is more than enough to keep kids (and yourself) entertained.
The Wright Bar (which for some reason I always think is called 'Peacock') is the quintessential lobby corner bar. McArthur's is just fine and while somewhat basic should be able to satisfy your average cravings.
Just be aware that the grass area near the Spire is often hosting a closed event, whether corporate or otherwise. Could just be timing on my part but both times it's been closed off. No problem for me, but you are pretty unlikely to be the star of the show here (which suits me just fine).”

“Beautifully restored classic hotel. Nice amenities. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Good lighting and multiple electric outlets and USB ports. Beds are excellent. Entire property is immaculate. There are multiple buildings on site, most with their own swimming pools. We chose to stay in the main building due to both restaurants housed there. Multiple retail outlets on site including coffee shop/ice cream parlor. Only issue is that early AM every day the few pool umbrellas were already taken, Most of the umbrellas were reserved for those paying for the costly cabanas. More pool side umbrellas would be a welcome addition, particularly at the adults only pool. Take note that everything on property is subject to a historic preservation fee.”

“Just got back from an amazing Father's Day weekend. My wife and I brought my in-laws for the first time(our 4th visit). Everyone loved it. We had two amazing cottages, service in MacArthur's was spot on, adult pool staff were very professional, housekeeping did not miss a beat, and the bell staff never missed a beat. A couple of staff member that went above and beyond:
