    “Excellent service!”

  • Beautiful Resort...Very Pricey

    8/10

    Revis · couple · 2026-07-04

“Situated a 30-minute drive from downtown Tucson in a beautiful location surrounded by spectacular views and the iconic Seguro cacti. The location is remote enough that you are essentially dependent upon the on-site services for entertainment, spa activities and food and beverages. As is expected for the Ritz Carlton brand the staff is attentive and hospitable. There are two dining options on site to the main resort and easy access is provided to the associated golf club that services both the resort and the residencies adjacent to the property. The main restaurant has some excellent Japanese choices available as well as the usual Southwest suspects. The beds/pillows and room are extremely comfortable, the rooms highly soundproof for an excellent night’s sleep. The Spa is an excellent refuge for adults with an adjacent gym, steam bath and sauna, and a salt plunge pool and “serenity” pool. Massage and multiple Spa services are available. The high-speed internet performed flawlessly.”

“Stayed there last year, and it exceeded my expectations. Very satisfied! When we left the room, we had left our sunglasses on the table, and when we returned, they had been carefully placed in a glasses cloth with the hotel’s logo. Even at Aman Resorts, it’s rare to see this kind of thoughtful surprise in room service!”

  • Terrific Location for Hiking and Animals

    10/10

    katherinebD2199PR · Family · 2026-06-27

“The location and property is stunning. We saw so much wildlife - javalinas, a coyote, snakes, bunnies, birds, etc. The water slide was a big hit and we enjoyed a cabana rental for a little extra shade in the afternoon. The rooms are a good size. I wish the patio chairs were a little quieter but the balcony was lovely to sit out on for a peaceful time. The spa facilities are great. The rangers were outstanding. The guided hikes were well worth it. Ron was really terrific and informative. On a day hike my son learned all about cacti and the night hike for scorpions was a real highlight. If I were to offer two small suggestions it would be have a morning coffee station and don’t charge for s’mores. We would definitely return and recommend.”

  • The Valet Team Did It Again! 5 Stars!

    10/10

    P7604FZtinad · Couples · 2026-06-25

“Five stars isn't enough. The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain turns guests into regulars for a reason. We just wrapped a three-night getaway and the team made it unforgettable from the moment we pulled up. The valet team actually remembered us from our last stay, when a rogue Diet Coke exploded all over our car and my husband on arrival. This time they were ready: waiting in our room was a champagne bucket filled with ice-cold Diet Cokes and a sweet treat. That is the kind of detail you cannot train into people. They either care or they don't, and this team does. Holly went above and beyond with a wonderful room upgrade that made the stay even more special. The concierge arranged binoculars so we could explore the petroglyphs scattered around the property, which turned into one of the most interesting and fun things we did all weekend. Sunday brunch was superb, made-to-order omelets and pastries that were genuinely delightful. And then they got us one more time. On departure, the valet team and John surprised us with a framed, handmade piece of art of an exploding Diet Coke bottle, packaged up in a gift bag. It's hanging in my office along with the hand drawn art from our last stay. Thank you to the entire team for turning an inside joke into a three-night memory we will be talking about for a long time. We will absolutely be back.”

“This marks our 4th year visiting and we can't wait to come back. The property is tucked into Dove Mountain so you have 360 degree mountain views. The staff goes above and beyond to provide a memorable stay. The infinity edge Turquesa pool is an amazing place to spend an afternoon. Be aware that the main restaurant (Core) is under renovation and will be ready by end of September. The Ignite Bar serves as the properties main food & beverage operation. We ate there on the patio and it was great. If you're looking for a sanctuary is the desert, I would highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton at Dove Mountain.”

  • Wonderful Service, Views, and Activities at Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain!

    8/10

    inspiruption · Couples · 2026-05-31

“Overall, the resort is a great place to spend a weekend. It includes three outdoor pools with a 235-foot waterslide (the spa pool is adults only); a 27-hole championship golf course; a full-service spa with therapy baths, steam room, fitness center, and cabana rentals; hiking and biking trails with stunning views; a bocce court; and four restaurants offering Southwestern specialties and organic cuisine. But, there are some things to note, namely on cost: 1. There are great “summer” rates and packages available - they usually run from mid-May until just before Labor Day. 2. Valet parking is $42 a day - there really isn’t another option. 3. The resort fee is $68.73 per day (that includes tax) 4. Food and drink are VERY pricey - especially breakfast and lunch (my small egg white omelet with greens on the side was $29). If you have the ability, use the To-Go coffee and bakery spot next to Core Kitchen & Bar. They are open until 11am everyday. 5. They do cater, fairly well, to gluten-free needs. Other things to note: We were in room 2805 - a beautiful, clean, and comfortable room. It was so nice to have a fire pit on our terrace to enjoy (as well as the wildlife that stopped by to say hi). Note that there is a sidewalk that runs the length of the hotel, right in front of the fire pits so during the day, it does not feel as private. The spa cabana was worth the price tag if you plan on wanting to be outside all day and want to keep cool in between soaking in the sun or swimming in the pool. It's also adults-only. The spa, itself is beautiful with every amenity you'd need for a relaxing day.”

  • Would return without hesitation!

“We visited Dove Mountain in May, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, everything felt 10/10 - cleanliness, hospitality, atmosphere, and overall experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, and our room overlooked the mountains with views we never got tired of. We visited in May, and while some may think it feels warm, we loved it. The pool was perfect, and between the breeze and attentive pool staff, it was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Travel was also much easier than expected. Tucson airport was small, easy to navigate, and only about a 40-minute drive from the resort. We Ubered from the airport and later booked transportation through Driver Elite Transportation, which was seamless and excellent. One of the biggest highlights was the Cactus Discovery Tour with Ranger Ron. His passion and love for the area made us completely fall in love with the desert. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do, and it made the experience that much better! Thank you, Ron! Golf was incredible. The desert views are stunning, and we played Wild Burro on the front nine and Saguaro on the back - highly recommend! The stargazing experience was another favorite. Seeing the moon and several solar systems through the telescope was something we won’t forget. The entire spa experience was wonderful and exactly what we needed. A special thank you to Ruth for introducing us to the mango-passionfruit sorbet because we are officially obsessed. We have genuinely been trying to recreate it at home. For dining, Cayton’s was our favorite - great food, beautiful setting, and sunsets that made you want to stay at the table a little longer. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful scenery, attentive staff, and experiences that make you slow down and appreciate where you are, this is your place. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already talking about when we can come back. Would return without hesitation.”

  • Service severely lacking

    robfarmergt · Family · 2026-04-18

“We had countless issues with dining and housekeeping. We concluded that the Ritz Carlton really isn't what it used to be and could tell that it's likely due to staffing issues and cost cutting. We ate at every restaurant for 3 meals a day for 6 days and there wasn't a meal that didn't have either a quality or service issue. The location is beautiful and the hiking trails from the property are amazing. The guided hikes were also amazing and worth it. Just be prepared for a sub-par experience with food and service.”

  • The Unexpected

“PROS: Beautiful setting and views. Consistently warm and attentive service throughout. We appreciated the kind and hard-working staff, early check-in after a short wait, comfortable room, bedding and amenities, relaxing spa pool (you can purchase a day pass), driving range access with shuttle service, interesting wildlife, unique ranger program, and the extensive hiking trails into the hills. NEUTRAL: The food was fine, somewhat unmemorable, Cayton’s is worth a visit. CONS: Best for families, not couples. Overcrowded kids pools and hot tub, loud, no adult pool, no adult hot tub, packed lounge chair set up, swarming bugs, too unpleasant to stay. They made a room assignment mistake despite advance communication. Privacy partitions that blocked the side views on our balcony (most do not have these). No complimentary upgrade with Platinum status. They offered a discounted upgrade for purchase instead. That’s a first.”

“Enjoyed a lovely couple of days at this beautiful property. Wanted to urge folks to spend time at the spa. Facial with Alicia- great job and appreciated that she was responsive to my specific requests. 100 Minute Well-Being and Resilience Massage with KIm- EXCEPTIONAL! I have been privileged to enjoy massages around the world and this one stand out as possibly the best one ever. Request Kim by name. She had a broad variety of techniques and applied them with expertise and, clearly, vast experience. The hotel is lovely and worth visiting.”

  • A beautiful resort near but just far enough away from the hubbub of Tucson, AZ

    10/10

    259oner · Couples · 2026-04-03

“This is one of the nicest Ritz-Carlton properties we have had the pleasure of staying at. We had a room on the fourth floor looking out at the mountain-side of the resort, which was nice and extra quiet. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel's main restaurant, which offers a breakfast buffet providing a wide selection of hot and cold foods, including made to order eggs and omlettes. We also at dinner our first night at the hotel's main restaurant, a steakhouse by the name of CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar. It was excellent. It is approximately a 25-40 minute car ride from the hotel's location to downtown Tucson, but the drive is rather easy, and we enjoyed having a quiet, beautiful property to return to at the end of each day. We visited both sides of Saguaro National Park during our visit here, and it is highly recommended. We booked our stay here via prepayment through a major credit card's travel portal, but nonetheless had an issue arise between the credit card's travel provider and the hotel that the hotel's front desk was wonderfully helpful in resolving. The hotel is on ancestral land and has a daily Native American musical presentation. One day we also caught the live owls with their handlers in the hotel's lobby. We would stay here again without hesitation.”

  • Beautiful location, disappointing service and accommodation.

“I’ve stayed here a couple times and have always had some issue with my Titanium status with Marriott. Today’s “was this is a luxury brand” and basically your status means nothing. This was after working with a “new” staff member that said she”d “email” if there was anything. My only expectation was a late check out after they didn’t have my room ready for me at the promised 3pm. Instead, I had to call back at 7:30pm to ask if it was and the response I got was we called and it went to voicemail but your room will be ready soon. Fortunate for me that I have a friend that lives near the motel that I could hang out with until I got into my room at 10pm. This is a beautiful property and location with great hiking. I expect more from a “luxury” brand hotel and Marriott. Disappointing all around.”

“This was our third stay at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain and just like the last two visits, it was amazing. I truly look forward to staying here for the beautiful surroundings and genuinely terrific service. All three times we’ve stayed here, we’ve received upgrades and a welcome gift in the room. RC management…THANK YOU for recognizing your Marriott Elite guests and making us feel special. The property is in beautiful condition, the grounds look great, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, the service at the front desk, bar, restaurant, room service and even the housekeeping team we interacted with are all on point. Ladies and gentleman, indeed! Thank you for another relaxing trip in a beautiful property. It’s rare that a property ever delivers a totally perfect stay, yet somehow this RC has done it three times in a row. Can’t wait to come back again soon.”
