“My wife and I visited this wonderful property in July. From start to finish it was to date the best Four Seasons property we have been to. Starting with a very warm welcome at valet (shout out to Mike who was wonderful) and an amazing upgrade to a spectacular plunge pool specialty suite which we really appreciated for our anniversary!!! The room and resort were next level with beautiful views. Golf cart transport to your room and anywhere else you want to go! We loved the pool, and with 115 degree heat we needed it! We faired well in the extreme heat with service all day poolside. If you’re worried about summer heat, don’t. Poolside makes it all ok. Sitting in the pool viewing the mountains was one of our favorite things about this resort. The grounds are perfectly kept southwest art. Cacti and native plants are gorgeous. Proof is a good spot for breakfast or dinner , with Cigars after 9:30pm on the patio of Onyx bar. It was a quiet off season but we had the relaxation and upscale stay we were looking for! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!!!”
Not sure it's worth the high pricetag.

“Beautiful location, but property getting a little tattered around the edges. Constant background music playlist intrusive and annoying. Food a bit overpriced and underwhelming.”

“The hotel was awesome, great accommodations but the best part was the genuine and kindness of the staff. They were the best and a special shout out to Harlie at the pool.”

“The Four Seasons Scottsdale is as beautiful as a typical Four Seasons. The rooms are nice, and the restaurants Proof and Onyx are good.
Unfortunately the service is well below par - and at the end of the day, what I am really paying for is service. The concierge is maddeningly incompetent - whether by phone or on email. I would genuinely love for any GM or leader of the Four Seasons to read my email trail with your concierge.
Once we were there, we attempted to organize massage bookings at the Spa. We received equally atrocious service and gave up even trying to book. We texted and called several times, each time they said they’ll be back to us in a minute. And they never came back to us. Is it really that busy? I have never seen the concierge dealing with anyone when I walk by. The overall impression, however, are the concierges are extremely busy - and any request (to give the hotel more money, ultimately) is an infringement on their time - which quite plainly is perceived to be far more valuable than mine.
At any rate, we paid roughly $4K per night for 2 rooms. Four Seasons Scottsdale got my money, but they will never get my recommendation. Please fix your service.”

“Beautiful property surrounded by the scenic Arizona desert. The rooms are lovely, bright, spacious, and smell wonderful. The pools are very nice, and I really enjoyed my time here. The only drawback is the location is a little remote, but I think that's deliberate and keeps you feeling like you're separate from the hustle and bustle.”
Lots to love but disappointing room standard

“A lot to love about this Four Seasons - beautiful location, great standard of service from everyone and the food was very good in both restaurants. Our 3 star rating was down to the standard of the room. Very high end price at c$2,000/night (including taxes) for quite an old fashioned room but the main issue was an unpleasant blocked sink that was a problem each day. Multiple helpful people tried to fix it - which unfortunately took hours, creating noise (not their fault!) and a lack of privacy. They finally offered to move us to the next door room late afternoon of our last full day. Unfortunately by that time we were already heading out for the evening so did not have time or particularly want to pack and unpack again on what was our last night. We received a refund of $200 which I found disappointing and surprising for the level of disruption and price of the room.”

A Hospitable Desert Oasis
10/10

“We celebrated my birthday at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, a true desert oasis that feels completely removed from the outside world. The resort is spread across villas, pools, restaurants, and desert landscaping, creating its own little community.
Check in was a great start, stepping out of 105 degree heat into an air conditioned lobby and being handed a cold towel was perfection. The team was warm, attentive, and acknowledged my birthday. Also being driven to our villa by golf cart added a fun touch.
The villa was incredibly spacious with a huge bathroom, double sinks, and separate shower and tub. The outdoor sitting area was perfect at night, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. A birthday amenity of fruit, water, and chocolate cake was a thoughtful welcome.
Dining was excellent: Proof was ideal for breakfast and lunch, and Talavera delivered a standout steakhouse experience (I recommend the Dry-Aged Kansas City steak). We also enjoyed relaxing massages at the spa; while the locker room felt a bit dated, the service itself was great.
For my birthday, we booked The Grape Run, a private tour to Sedona with sightseeing and winery stops. A unique and memorable experience that I recommend.
Even in the intense August heat, this was an easy 5 out of 5 stay thanks to the comfort, hospitality, and sense of escape the resort offers.”
3.8/5 stars. It's nice. I won't be returning.

“My family and I went during New Year's Eve week and stayed until January 2nd.
The location is nice and secluded, I can tell during the spring and summer that it must be really nice here -- I was quickly reminded that this resort is located in North Scottsdale.... Where it is naturally cooler.
It was pretty quiet for most of our stay, likely because the weather had people indoors.
The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The valet were so sweet and extremely attentive.
The overall service was good, but in comparison to other FS resorts I've stayed at, the service that we did receive was oftentimes missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe it's a level of warmth, or care that felt lacking? I'm not sure what to call it.
Unlike other FS resorts, our arrival did not come with a warm towel and a welcome beverage -- which I guess I was beginning to think was standard at all FS resorts. We were fortunate to receive an "upgrade," which I had to call the front desk to understand how the upgrade was different than the room we originally booked. She kindly explained to me that the major difference was the view -- not being a mountain expert myself, I guess I could not appreciate the upgraded view, since my original booking was also described to have a desert or mountain view.
Room service was always on time and cared for nicely. The cleaning crew and turn down service were also always on point!
At their original kids club must also be under construction, because when I went to the kids club with my family, it seemed to be relocated to a large ballroom with games and activities spread throughout the ballroom. This is a very different experience than I had at other Four Seasons resorts, which were informal children friendly spaces, with things like small jungle gyms or fake ships with slides, and designated areas of different developmental play.
Some issues I had: I contacted their messaging service a few days prior to my arrival to book dinner reservations for NYE. The person managing the messaging system said they would get back to me, and after 24 hours I still did not receive a response. After inquiring about opportunities to reserve a table for dinner on New Year's Eve, we found that all restaurants were booked for the evening. This might have not happened if the messaging service followed through with their intention to get back to me about my original inquiry for reservations.
All this led to us doing in-room dining for the evening, which did not seem like a problem since the in-room dining service from the night before was just fine. We ordered a few menus items from Proof this time around, and wow! The food was so salty! I feel like the food was either double salted, or somebody accidentally knocked over the salt into all of their food. It was so salty, that my mouth was hurting while I tried to finish the rest of my dinner.
For some reason, I thought this was a fluke, and thought that maybe their food was better if you ordered inside the restaurant. From my experience, I was wrong. My husband and child's food were both extremely salty, and opting for the breakfast buffet was a mistake. The buffet scrambled eggs were different consistency than the scrambled eggs that came directly from the kitchen, the meats were over salted, the French toast was stale and very difficult to slice, but the gentleman who was in charge of the buffet did a great job of keeping the area clean and caring for the guests that were retrieving their food from the buffet.
TLDR (ratings out of 5):
Location - 4 stars in the winter, is likely a 5 in the summer
Facilities - 4
Service - 3
Valet - 5
Ambiance - 5
Food - 2
Family friendly - 4”
Incredibly rude staff and lack of resort response

“We stayed at the resort for four nights in early January. Two bad outcomes: First, we encountered an incredibly rude and supercilious valet. He argued with my wife, cut her off, and stormed away. We complained. The hotel sent us a water bottle! And there were no consequences. Later in our stay, as we pulled our car into the drop off, he was not only back at his post but proceeded to nudge fellow employees and point at my wife. Truly wretched behavior for a Four Seasons which did literally nothing about it, even after being informed of the problem employee. It tarnishes the brand. Second, as this was our first stay, we had no idea all of the rooms open onto a one-lane service alley. One cannot walk five feet without having to step aside for room service vehicles, trash pick up, house keeping, valets ferrying guests around. Our alley in Chicago - where garbage is picked up - is less congested. Scottsdale has plenty of resorts that don't get things this wrong.”

“Everything”
First Visit

“First time visit for my wife and I. The hotel is located in North Scottsdale, about 25 minutes north of Old Town Scottsdale. We enjoyed the more rural location. The grounds are simply spectacular. We enjoyed the desert view from our room, the trails throughout the resort and especially the nature trail that connects with the Pinnacle Peak park trail. We found the service to be mostly excellent. The Onyx Bar staff was particularly accommodating and housekeeping did a great job of getting in and out of our room when we were gone.
As first time guests it was disappointing to not be offered any kind of upgrade upon check in. We likely would have been interested if it was offered. The hotel certainly did not appear to be near capacity.
We also felt that the food at the resort was uneven in quality. For instance, two good meals at Proof were followed by a dinner that was sub-par. Cole slaw that was barely dressed and uninteresting, ribs that felt as though they had been reheated and a taco that was so poor in every way that we complained (which we never do). A manager intervened and one of the dishes was taken off of the check.
Finally, while the room we stayed in was clean, with a terrific view, it is in need of updating.
These issues notwithstanding, we had a nice stay but would want to see these things addressed before we considered returning.”
