“My stay at Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale was truly exceptional, 10/10 from start to finish!
From the moment I arrived, Tami at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile, made me feel welcome, and patiently answered all of my questions. The valet team was always prompt when bringing my vehicle and returning it, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage.
Every dining experience exceeded my expectations. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Hearth ’61, poolside service from Citizens Club, or room service, the food was outstanding and the service was consistently 10/10.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The mountain views are breathtaking and created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. I especially enjoyed spending time at the adult pool, which was peaceful and serene. The family pool was just as enjoyable, with great music and a fun, vibrant atmosphere that truly made me feel like I had escaped from home.
A special thank you to Kimberley and Sylvia for keeping our room spotless each day. Your attention to detail and hard work did not go unnoticed.
Overall, my experience at Mountain Shadows Resort was outstanding. Every team member I encountered contributed to making this a memorable vacation, and I can’t wait to return!”

“The hotel stay was really nice and when we got to the front desk to check in, Olivia and Regan were very accommodating and friendly and the early check in was nice aswell. Later on at the pool, Marco, Brook, and Sandra were really attentive and made sure me and my family were taken care of. Also before that, me and my mother ordered some drinks at the bar and April was also very kind and the drinks were good aswell.”

After settling in, we spent a few relaxing hours at the pool, where Marcos, Brooke, and Sandra provided outstanding service. They were attentive to our needs, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured we had a wonderful experience.
Miranda, our server, was friendly and professional, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Kat and Yaz greeted us warmly and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. “Mountain Shadows exceeded every expectation we had. The grounds are absolutely stunning—beautifully manicured, impeccably maintained, and thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing, luxurious atmosphere. Every space, from the guest rooms and pools to the lounges and dining areas, were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully appointed.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the people. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience exceptional. Rather than waiting for us to ask for assistance, they consistently anticipated our needs and went out of their way to help. A special thank you to Shay at valet, Olivia at check-in, and Esmeralda at Hearth ’61, who each went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued.
We also greatly appreciated the flexibility with late checkout (when available), and even if it hadn’t been possible, the staff happily invited me to continue enjoying the property while my partner attended a nearby conference. That level of hospitality meant so much.
As a small touch, I loved the adorable complimentary postcards available—I couldn’t resist taking one home as a keepsake.
Checking out was the hardest part of our stay, simply because neither of us wanted to leave. Mountain Shadows is a truly special place, and we can’t wait to come back.

“We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Mountain Shadows. It started with a seamless check-in thanks to Marissa. She was very friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and well appointed with a stunning view. The concierge, Regan was very helpful and had some great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We had a fantastic dinner at Hearth61, and brunch on Sunday morning. The food was exceptional. Both times we had attentive, professional servers: Dennis and Melissa. Lastly, Olivia made our check out easy and painless, and even accommodated a later checkout so we could enjoy the World Cup. Thanks!”

“We had an excellent staycation and even met new friends. Kenzie was attentive to our beverage needs by the pool including bringing waters, which we could get ourselves. I also heard her card a young man & uphold her company’s integrity-I was impressed!
I also took a Pilates class for the first time ever. Patti explained everything slowly & repeatedly and was so kind & patient.
The only thing I missed was a microwave in the room and the free coffee is a jaunt (you gotta want it), but overall, I highly recommend a stay for the views & amenities. The rooms are quiet and a midweek stay was affordable. Thanks, Mountain Shadows!”

“All I can say is OMG! What a fantastic property. We held an annual business retreat here in late September and it was amazing. Indoor/outdoor meeting rooms and dining options, wonderful pool right under the mountains and adjacent to the golf course, so quiet there you would barely know you were in a huge metropolitan area. The room we had contained a very high ceiling, a giant shower with great water pressure, and a terrace where we could slide the wall open and enjoy the outdoors. Everything on property was clean, staff was very friendly - even just passing staff in the halls meant everyone was saying hello and smiling - it is comforting to be on a property where everyone so clearly loves where they work and what they do. Beautiful service, beautiful surroundings, you can't ask for a better location for a business retreat or meetings, that can also be enjoyed equally on vacation for a bit of respite. Just stunning. We can't wait to go back and play golf!”

This hotel nailed it from start to finish, and I can’t say enough about the amazing experience provided. We came in as a large group of women, enjoying some desert relaxation together, and the Mountain Shadows team welcomed us with open arms, embracing and celebrating our gathering.
The rooms were so spacious, beautifully designed and wildly comfortable. The MCM vibe hits on all levels.
We took advantage of the main pool, sunset pool, each dining/bar outlet, the gym, the group classes and golf - and each of these were exceptional!
