“We loved our entire experience, we had amazing service. At the lounge bar: we loved Steve on the piano and Kody who took care of us at the lounge bar while we enjoyed the music. We also enjoyed dinner at the studio where Max also took exceptional care of us and brought us a special anniversary toast. Had an amazing massage by Adrienne at the spa and LOVED the spa pool. Nathan took awesome care of us at the spa pool and we enjoyed our time relaxing there. The beach is beautiful, we enjoyed walking down there even though the tides/waves were a bit intense. Johnny, Robert and Kaitlyn also made our experience at the loft amazing as well. Everyone there operates with excellence and they really want your experience to be the best. We enjoyed celebrating our 15 year anniversary at the Montage Laguna Beach. We will be back!”

“Beautiful hotel. Pool is gorgeous with many available lounge chairs and food and beverage service. Pool is open 24 hrs. The beach is steps away with chairs and umbrellas available for hotel guests. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the expansive beachfront was breathtaking. We enjoyed the local shopping and restaurants. Hotel services were top-notch. A very relaxing stay!”

“The Montage Laguna Beach is a spectacular resort and exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing beach getaway. The setting is simply stunning, perched on the bluff overlooking the Pacific with beautifully maintained grounds, incredible ocean views, and direct beach access. It’s one of those properties where you immediately feel yourself slow down.
Service staff were consistently warm, professional, and efficient, making the stay feel seamless and special.
The Lobby Lounge became one of our favourite spots. Between the live piano music, lively atmosphere, excellent cocktails, and panoramic ocean views, it was the perfect place to unwind before or after dinner.
One small disappointment was room service. We ordered a club sandwich and a Coke. It was delicious but the delivery fee exceeded the cost of the food, which felt excessive and hard to justify.
The location is perfect if your goal is to enjoy Laguna Beach. You’re close to the town, beautiful beaches, hiking trails, art galleries, and excellent restaurants. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if your primary plan is to explore Los Angeles. Depending on traffic, the drive can easily stretch to three hours, so it’s much better to think of the Montage as a destination in its own right rather than a base for visiting LA.
Overall, this is a beautiful resort with impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return the next time we’re looking for a luxury beach escape in Laguna Beach.”

“My family of four (including two children under 12) spent two nights at Montage Laguna Beach just before July 4th, 2026, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish.
We spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful beach, where the food, beverage, and lounge chair service were consistently excellent. The adjacent beach was just as enjoyable, and we felt very comfortable knowing there were attentive lifeguards on duty throughout the day. Our kids loved every minute there.
We also spent a good amount of time at the main pool, and once again, the service provided by the pool and food attendants was top-notch. Whether it was towels, snacks, or simply checking in, the staff made everything effortless.
Service throughout the resort was outstanding across the board—front desk, valet, bell desk, the Loft restaurant team, and even the gift shop staff all made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
We want to give special recognition to two individuals who truly went above and beyond:
• Nolan (Bell Service) – Extremely attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful. His professionalism and warmth made a wonderful impression on our family.
• Juan (Room Service) – Very friendly and thoughtful, and his service made our stay even more pleasant… simply put, he went above and beyond our every expectation.
Both Nolan and Juan elevated our experience and are great examples of the hospitality that makes Montage Laguna Beach such a memorable place to stay.
Overall, we had a fantastic family getaway and would happily return. Highly recommended for families looking for exceptional service and a beautiful, relaxing beachfront stay.”

“My wife, Holly, and I drove nearly two hours from San Diego to have lunch at Mosaic after calling ahead and being told that reservations weren’t necessary and that we could be seated upon arrival. When we got there, we were incredibly disappointed to learn that the restaurant had been bought out for a private event and that we wouldn’t be able to dine there. After making that drive, it honestly felt heartbreaking, and we were ready to turn around and leave.
That’s when Ryan completely changed our experience.
From the moment he saw how disappointed we were, he treated us with genuine kindness, empathy, and professionalism. He never made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Instead, he kept looking for solutions. Even after the first few attempts didn’t work, he didn’t give up. He continued talking with the team and did everything he could to find a way to accommodate us.
Then Hannah stepped in and showed the same incredible level of hospitality. She found a way to seat us at a beautiful private table by the pool, and Ryan personally helped set everything up, including positioning the umbrella to make sure we were comfortable.
What could have been one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip became one of the most memorable lunches we’ve ever had. That transformation happened because two employees genuinely cared. Ryan demonstrated what true hospitality looks like. His compassion, persistence, and desire to make things right are exactly what every luxury resort should strive for. Hannah deserves just as much recognition for stepping in with kindness and helping create such a wonderful experience.
Please recognize both Ryan and Hannah for going far beyond what anyone would have expected. They didn’t just find us a table. They turned a very disappointing afternoon into a memory that my wife and I will always remember. Employees like them are the reason people return to the Montage. Thank you for having people who truly understand what exceptional hospitality means.

“My boyfriend and I drove more than two hours to enjoy lunch at Mosaic at the Montage Laguna Beach, and when we arrived, we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant had been bought out for a private event and that we would not be able to be seated.
As we were speaking with the manager and trying to see if there was any way we could stay for a quick lunch, Hannah overheard our situation. Without hesitation, she graciously offered to take on another table and make accommodations for us. The team set up a beautiful table outside near the pool, and what could have been a very disappointing experience quickly became one of the highlights of our trip.
Hannah was incredibly kind, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. Her exceptional service transformed our day, and we ended up enjoying one of the best lunches we’ve had, with stunning views and a truly memorable experience.
Hannah is a wonderful example of outstanding hospitality. We are so grateful for her kindness and willingness to help, and she turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a perfect afternoon. Thank you, Hannah, for making our visit so special!

“I’m a regular and I recommended all of my friends come to Studio for a birthday dinner because I heard good reviews about the food. However, our server Michael was terrible. We waited at least 35 minutes for our first round of drinks. Our entrees took over an hour and it didn’t come out all at the same time. We ordered a whole chicken and all our entrees and sides got cold waiting for the whole chicken to come. When Michael checked on us 40 minutes after our food was dropped off, he asked “how is everything tasting.” We told him to please just “take the whole chicken off the bill.” He came around 5 minutes later and said “it’s just going to be 8 minutes for the chicken.” Then a server came around and said “I have a half chicken ready” and I had to tell her that we no longer wanted it. They gave us a free round of drinks thankfully after forgetting my friend’s previous drink order for over 30 minutes. Cami the chef turned our whole experience around, up to three stars from our one star experience. Her thoughtful birthday cake made our entire experience more pleasant for all of us. We were sat around 7 pm and ended up finishing dinner around 11 pm. Multiple tables around were seated and had full course dinner and service before we got our last round of drinks. The food was good but overall I would recommend Vea in Newport, Driftwood, The Deck, or any other nice restaurant with a view in Laguna beach rather than Studio. Thankfully the rest of the staff was very pleasant and on top of our water refills”

“Montage Laguna Beach is the flagship property for the brand and it shows throughout the entire experience.
The check in process was smooth and well done. I’ve had plenty of good check in experiences, but what stood out here was how friendly and personable the front desk team was. It didn’t feel scripted. They took the time to walk through everything on property and also gave great recommendations for dining, shopping, and things to do off property, which made a difference.
The rooms are stunning. Every room faces the ocean and each one has a private balcony, which really adds to the experience. Sitting out there at night with the sound of the waves is exactly what you want when you are trying to unwind.
Dining on property is also a highlight. I ate at a few different spots and each one had its own feel. The Loft is great for a more relaxed setting with amazing views and really solid food.
Studio Mediterranean is more of the signature dinner experience with a higher end feel and incredible ocean views.
Mosaic Bar and Grille is perfect during the day or by the pool with a more casual vibe and great atmosphere.
Even grabbing a drink at the Lobby Lounge is worth it just to take in the view and relax for a bit.
Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing experience. Between the service, the setting, and the overall feel of the property, it is an easy choice for an oceanfront stay.”
