“Dated, small studio rooms, food very mediocre especially for the price point, poor valet service where often have to wait a long time even if you called ahead for your car (there is no self parking), housekeeping is subpar often missing spots that should have been cleaned or even forgetting to take out the trash. If in Snowmass, recommend you stay at the Limelight or Viewline for better food and service and a better location in Base Village or Snowmass Mall, respectively. Both properties are better managed than the Viceroy.”

“Apparently, mentioning the name of the architect/designer--Jean-Michel-Gathy of Denniston International--is important when professional reviewers (or AI even!) recap this place. Well, somebody tell Jean Michel that just two elevators don't come close to handling the guest load at a major resort with over 170 rooms!. ("Standards", Jean-baby!) Since the 4th floor is the entrance and main lobby you'll want to book a room on the third or fifth floor so it's only a one-flight-walk in the (hidden) stairwell to come and go. Otherwise, clean beautiful, pricey as noted.”

The restaurant had something for me (gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free) for breakfast that was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back!”

“The hotel was extremely disappointing, and how a hotel handles things matters. The shower was unusable, and when I called down to let someone know, no one picked up. The noise level next door was high because the walls were paper-thin. I never actually got to talk to someone at the front desk because either no one picked up or I got a recording. I excused it all because Snowmass is beautiful and there are crazier things happening in the world. However, two days into my five-night stay, I had an emergency and had to leave very early the next morning. The airline, the rental car vendor, everyone was very flexible and empathetic except for the Viceroy. I had to leave a message because nobody answered the front desk phone. The next morning, I tried to check out but was told I couldn't, so I left my number again and explained that I had left a message for someone to call me. I never got a bill emailed to me. Nothing. I was charged the full price of the stay. I called to ask why this happened and was told that it was "policy." Never stay at this hotel. It is clearly mismanaged, and if they can't even email you a closing statement that lists the charges, you know things are really bad.”

“This was our second stay at the Viceroy, and it was just as impressive as the first. What really stands out is the consistency. Everything is done at a very high level, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure guests have a great experience.
A special thank you to Sharon Putman, Director of Rooms. Sharon does an amazing job, and her attention to detail shows throughout the property. From the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help.
The hotel is extremely well maintained. Our room was spotless, the common areas were always clean and inviting, and the gym was in excellent condition. It's clear that the property is very well managed.
The booking process was easy, check-in was seamless, and honestly, I can't think of anything they could have done better. Everything went exactly as it should.
For the quality of the accommodations and service, the value is exceptional. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Viceroy to anyone looking for a first-class hotel experience.”
