“My husband, my daughter and I stayed here during our trip to Vail, and we had a really great experience.
The hotel is beautiful, very comfortable, and in a perfect location. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel welcome. The front desk staff and the bellhops were always friendly and happy to help whenever we needed anything. We'd also like to thank Stefan, who was especially kind and made us feel very well taken care of during our stay.
A special thank you to Karol, who cleaned our room every day. She did an amazing job, and it was always nice to come back to a spotless room after spending the day out.
We also really enjoyed the food. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and we had excellent dinners at Bully Ranch and Swiss Chalet. We ended up stopping at Treff Café every morning because we loved the coffee.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The combination of great service, comfortable rooms, and excellent restaurants made this an easy place to recommend. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Vail.”

“My wife and I only stayed for one night - would have loved to extended our stay! We had a gift certificate for one night's lodging. In town to take in a concert at Bravo! Vail. We had one of their Cross Creek Junior Suites. It was very spacious with a tiny balcony overlooking their back courtyard. The room is nicely laid out with a good sized closet, an entryway with a bench which would be great in the winter for dealing with ski clothes. Another plus was one of the largest bathrooms I've seen in a hotel. If you like the Swiss Alps motif, they do it quite well. It does feel like a bit of the Alps in Colorado. All the staff was great, very friendly and outgoing. As we were there for only the one night, did not really get much of a chance to use any of the amenities unfortunately. I knocked off one star as the breakfast buffet was not quite up to snuff. I would like to only make it a half star off but can't do that on Tripadvisor. The service at breakfast was a bit slow, some of the food items were empty when we approached the buffet; however, our server was very apologetic about the delays, and what food we did have was excellent. Hard to gauge the value as we had a gift certificate. Everything in Vail is expensive and the Sannenalp is no exception. It is a beautiful hotel and we found it an enjoyable experience.”

The bed was wonderful and the hotel is very quiet. They offer Nespresso coffee in the room which was a treat. The coming and going of maid service was a little spotty.”

“This is always one of our favorite hotels in the world. From the moment you arrive the warm and friendly team takes great care of you. The owners live on property and assure the Bavarian hospitality and authenticity are alive and well through your stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed and feel like a European home. In the ski season your gear is taken to the base of the mountain and stored in a first class club just steps from Gondola One. The Sonnenalp is Vail at its finest.”

From the moment we started planning until the end of our wedding weekend, Maggie and her team went above and beyond to make everything seamless. Maggie was an absolute joy to work with! She's kind, responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. She made the entire planning process feel so much less stressful, and I always felt like we were in great hands. It truly was the best week of our lives, and we are so grateful to everyone at the Sonnenalp for making it so unforgettable! The Sonnenalp itself is absolutely beautiful. The Sonnenalp is 5 star in all aspects.
The staff were always friendly and helpful.
The facilities and rooms were wonderful.
The location can't be beat.
We enjoyed starting our day at Ludwig's breakfast. Most days our server was Smara, whose cheerfulness and helpfulness ensured a great start to the day.”
