I thought the property looked nice, but half of the seat cushions outside were missing. I was astonished by the prices at the minibar / snacks. There is a hidden fee of like 35% charged on top of a tip just to open the tiny Pringles can, which should cost $1.00. We ended up paying about $16.00 for about 1/5th of a normal can. We caught on to the scheme, we opened a $1.00 can of soda which they were charging about $10.00 for, plus tip etc. We just went to the local store and restocked ourselves to avoid the crazy charges. Also, they charged to use the room phone, unheard of. The golf course was baked through, and the bunkers were never raked. Enjoy you're 6 hour round. I wouldn't recommend this place for the price.

  • Great for golf but not a nice hotel

    4/10

“I stayed here for business. The staff was great. The location was perfect for me. However my room was not well cared for. The furniture was worn and cheap. Normally i wouldn't care but i conducted some of my business in the living room area of my suite and it was embarrassing. The bed was lumpy and well past due for a turn or replacement. All things considered, it was not a good value except for golfing with clients.”

  • Patrick Fabre, Amazing customer service and professionalism

“I would like to commend Patrick Fabre, the Front Desk Manager. Upon my arrival to the hotel I did not have an existing reservation. I went to the front desk and asked if there was availability and if so I wanted to see the rooms. I had a prior bad experience down the street at another hotel. I was then graciously helped by Patrick who took me around the property and to check out a newly refurbished room. I was happy with the accommodations and Patrick assisted me with the booking and check-in process. He was extremely professional and very friendly. Throughout my stay he was available by text and call whenever I had concerns. He even assisted me when I needed to extend my stay. He immediately returned my calls and was prompt in his responses. He was so helpful. If I return to this hotel, it will be due to his excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the rooms. I am very grateful for his kindness and willingness to assist me. Out of all my interactions with hotel staff he was the shining star! Thank you Patrick!”

  • Exceptional Holiday Stay with Outstanding Service

“We stayed at Trump National Doral Miami from December 11–15, and our experience was absolutely outstanding. The Christmas trees and holiday décor throughout the property were beautiful and created such a warm, festive atmosphere. The grounds are immaculate, perfect for walking and enjoying the scenery. A special thank-you to Stephanie, our hotel attaché, whose service and coordination were exceptional. She truly elevated our stay with her attentiveness and professionalism. Jorge, the attaché manager, also reached out personally, which made us feel incredibly welcomed. The Spa Suites were spacious and perfect for our family. We had both a two bedroom suite and a single bedroom suite. The living room and dining room area of the suite made for a great spot to relax and play games at night while our granddaughter slept. The golf course views were amazing and we enjoyed watching people finishing their rounds. My husband and sons played multiple courses and enjoyed them very much. The spa amenities that you have access to by staying in the Spa Suites were wonderful, offering a relaxing and luxurious experience. Our favorite dinner at BLT Steakhouse was excellent, with outstanding service from Walter. Traveling with our granddaughter, we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly touches—crib, highchair, baby bath, and diaper genie—which made everything so easy. The pool staff were fantastic, the food was great, and every employee we encountered stopped to say hello and ask about our stay. Even when we were caught in an unexpected rain shower one evening, a covered shuttle quickly brought us back to our room—a perfect example of the resort’s attention to detail. This resort exceeded every expectation. Incredible service, beautiful property, and a truly memorable stay. We recommend it without hesitation and can’t wait to return.”

  • The golf shop price gouges.

    4/10

“I was at Trump national for a junior golf tournament. While, I did not stay at the hotel, we ate breakfast here every morning and lunch. Spending close to $700 alone on food (Denise our server was wonderful). I very much enjoyed our time at the property and mentioned to my husband we should come back here for a golf vacation as all 4 of my family members play golf. On the last day of the tournament I needed a cart for medical reasons. My son got the cart for me and was shocked at the price they told him- $80 but didn’t ask questions since he knew I needed it. This is unheard of at junior tournaments. The most I have ever paid is $40 (even at 5 star resorts and most carts are $30) one dad said he heard in the golf shop “we sold out of carts at $50 so charge them $80”. This just ruined our experience here and has definitely made it where I don’t want to come back here- it is the principle of the matter and has left a bad taste. Also an automatic gratuity is added to all food purchases. I don’t mind this, but I do mind it when they aren’t upfront about it and give you a receipt that’s not itemized showing a tip was added and then having a line for tip on your bill. This was done in the quick serve restaurant where they hand you your pre made food. It is just disingenuous to do that. In the sit down restaurants, they provided an itemized receipt and was surprised they only added 18% gratuity- thought it should be 20% I did add more too for this as I felt it wasn’t enough when being waited on especially with how great our server Denise was.”

  • Beautiful golf course, great facilities, terrible pro shop staff

“Played Red Tiger course. Course is in good shape except tons of divots on fairway and greens. Pro shop staff would not even look at you and were rude and dismissive. For what you pay for a round here I would expect better.”

  • As good as I expected

“We stayed at the Marriott next door, but it has an agreement with Trump National that its guests can use the facilities. We were happy to do that, as I had enjoyed the Trump International in New York. Next time, I think we may stay at Trump Doral, even though we are not golfers. The standards were what I expected...top of the line. Well kept, up-scale. Polite, friendly, well-instructed staff. Elegant but not pompous. The gingerbread golf cart was cute and well done -- must have been a lot of work; although, with apologies to DJT, I still like gingerbread houses. Otherwise, the decorations are in a less-is-more, elegant style, and, unlike the majority of hotels on this trip, the furniture is comfortable. I cannot tell you if the beds are too firm, although I found them to be so in another Trump property. I happened across the resort manager. He is the kind of staff member who does credit to the resort's owners. He did recommend the BLT Prime for lunch -- sorry, no Trump meatloaf, for those interested, but he suggested that the Trump Burger is good. Service was impeccable. For any who don't know, BLT is an upscale "chain" with more than a half dozen locations...nine, is it? My only suggestion would be the Trump blanc de blanc in splits...just saying. I suppose they don't make enough of it. We did visit the Marketplace cafe...nice "take out" type place if you just want something quick such as fruit or a salad, sandwich etc. We also went into the golf shops -- your choice, Trump branded or Blue Monster branded. I cannot tell you about the villas themselves. The pools seemed OK...not huge but nice enough. I peeked into a few of the ballrooms. I like the Crystal Ballroom. I like Trump properties for the service and atmosphere so, even though we aren't golfers, we would stay here.”

  • No Driving Range

    6/10

    michaelhY5348RI · Friends getaway · 2025-12-04

“For the most part the resort is great, but coming down specifically to play golf for the 2nd year in a row with a group of 24 guys, it was extremely disappointing that the driving range is closed, with the only option to hit into a net. For guys coming from up NYC who haven't played golf in a few months, there was really no way to warm up.”

“A grand hotel with excellent facilities. Rooms were located in a number of small villas, each named after a famous golfer. We stayed in the Phil Mickelson villa. It had a luxurious interior and small balcony. Superb service from staff and excellent food in the restaurant. We only stayed one night prior to flying out of Miami International the next day, but would have loved a longer stay...next time we are in Miami, we will be certain to rebook.”
