    “Location is 2nd to none if you're wanting to enjoy shopping and dining downtown. We were in a king suite on the 4th floor and it was very spacious and clean with great views. The staff was also excellent. From the valet to the front desk, I have nothing but good things to say. (Keep in mind if you are planning a stay, valet is the only parking option)”

    “The Haywood is very conveniently located within walking distance of numerous restaurants, the Woolworth Walk, Malaprop's Bookstore, and many other sites. It is also a stop on the hop-on hop-off trolley that offers a tour of key sites in Asheville. The hotel itself is distinctive, because it was for many decades a department store. Each floor has a lobby with mannequins and other artifacts of the building's original function. The king suites are palatial in size; the double queens are more conventional. Each room has a mini-fridge and Keurig machine. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. Parking is valet-only, at $22/night. The valets were very personable and helpful.”
