A rare update due to a starkly better experience. The commercial sales director was wonderful and was able to resolve a booking issue. So after previously having nothing but bad times here (loud construction noise, water going out in my room), I gave Four Seasons another shot. I’m leased to report that I can see what (some) of the fuss is actually about with these good reviews. From the bellman to the housekeeping to concierge, the hotel staff was wonderful. The room was clean, especially the shower which was spotless. The view was amazing from the 9th floor overlooking ladybird lake. The TV…. Did not work. Chalk it up to a mundane could happen anywhere issue I guess. There was also a minor communication gap about it, again, whatever. As a guy that likes bottled water in my hotel, I’m happy to report there was water everywhere. In fancy glass bottles, I think they gave me like 8 of them. Overall this is a really nice hotel, in an excellent location.

  • Disappointing experience

“I've had nothing but poor experiences here. The first time I stayed here they had me in a room with loud construction noise, the water went out in my room, and the lobby bathroom was out of order, among other things. When one books a 5 star hotel, one expects to be able to sleep and go to the bathroom. A few weeks ago my colleague and I tried to book rooms for an upcoming conference being held on location. His booking went through, but I was told mine did not because the block was now full. When I called customer service, they reached out to sales team, and said their best offer was a room at twice the cost. Very disappointing experience. Sales team did reach back out, so it's possible I'll see what the positive reviews are about in the future.”

  • Wonderful spot in Austin; resort style vibe in the middle of downtown.

“This was a pleasent surprise. Off the bat, this has the vibe & quality of a resort style Four Seasons property - but located at the heart of Austin Downtown. It was peak time during our visit, as its the World Cup, and one of the teams were camping there. Despite of the occupancy rate pressure; service was impeccible. This is a good Four Seasons property, and for sure the best 5 star experience in town by far.”

  • Centrally Located 5-Star Four Seasons in Austin

“Exactly what you would expect from a Four Seasons. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms and amenities were of incredibly high quality, and you can't beat the location. The hotel is in the heart of everything, and so many great shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. My room also overlooked Lady Bird Lake, and the views were incredible. Since I was here on business I didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel however, I did have a drink at the bar in the lobby, which was erred in a glass cowboy boot which was fun. The hotel also had a partnership going with Vivrelle which I thought was cool. Would highly recommend choosing this hotel whether you are in town for business or leisure, it's hard to beat.”

“Great luxury hotel. Beds extremely comfortable”

  • Amazing luxury experience

“Amazing luxury hotel in the heart of Austin. Note: Didn't pay for the stay so no commentary on the actual value. The Four Seasons Austin is an institution as far back as I can remember in Austin when it was the only luxury hotel in town. Located right next to the river, overlooking the congress street bats as well. A bit off from dining or other drinking venues, but downtown austin isn't big enough that a 10 minute walk can't get you to where you want to go. The lobby itself is impressively luxurious, opening onto a grand bar, seating areas, and then check in areas tucked away. The service is impeccable, from the valet at the front to the front desk. Definitely the 5 star feel. The room itself is very well appointed, luxurious bedding, heavenly bed, large sitting area. Doesn't really have a great work desk which is an issue for business travelers, but perfect for vacation. Great complimentary coffee and tea selection. Bathroom is also very well appointed, shower pressure is amazing, and very large bathroom. The rest of the property is also amazing. Lobby bar is great, nice restaurant and outdoor patio overlooking the river, and easy access to a running trail. Very highly recommended.”

  • Great hotel with premium service and location. Pool is only downside.

“Love this hotel! Have stayed numerous times for work trips and for leisure. Service is impeccable and the location is perfect. Rooms have been recently renovated and are very nice. The only thing that is somewhat subpar is the pool - it’s still great but not as nice as it could be especially when compared to so many other new hotels in downtown Austin. But the location and service help compensate for that!”

  • Perfect base for exploring all the best Austin has to offer

    10/10

“We came into town to visit friends who recently moved to Austin, we looked and liked the location of the Four Seasons, so made that our base. It was a great choice. The hotel is within easy walking distance to hip restaurants, breakfast places, and sixth street with all the live music. But if you decide you want to have a different kind of day, the hotel also sits on a lake where there are paddle boarders and kayaks galore, areas to lounge in hammocks or big chairs, a saltwater pool, and a big “backyard” space with rocking chairs. We took advantage of all it, and it was great. We went to sixth street to see music, but there was also live music in the lobby bar so there was something for every mood you may be in. The service was all terrific as one would expect, the rooms were comfortable (we had a king overlooking the lake connected to our kids room also overlooking the lake). Housekeeping was impeccable and we had zero complaints about the rooms or the hotel itself. It’s really a great option for a discerning traveller who finds themselves in Austin. We now find ourselves coming up with a new reason to come back. Great hotel. Highly recommend.”

“The hotel itself was gorgeous and the staff was extra friendly and helpful. The lake view rooms were nice with cozy beds. The welcome fruit and chocolates were a sweet little welcome gift. The amenities were great and had a big 24 hour gym. room service had a pretty big selection and onsite restaurant was excellent especially if you wanted to dress up but not leave the property. The lobby bar was packed and loud which was fun to mingle. I’m surprised there was no walk way or stairs down to the riverfront from the hotel. You had to walk around 2 blocks to the public stairway or cut through the gym and walk on the grass down the hill, which for us, it stormed bad and we were stuck trying to walk up the grass trying not to slip lol. ”

  • Four seasons Austin: above and beyond for our family in a pinch!

    10/10

    Elcollier9 · Family · 2025-05-27

“We cannot thank the Four Seasons Austin enough for their incredible hospitality during an unexpected detour from Dallas to Austin with our two babies under 2. Arriving at 1am, we were blown away to find our room perfectly prepared with two cribs, baby supplies, diapers, wipes, and our room service order waiting at the table. The staff’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail turned a stressful situation into the best possible reset before heading home the next day. The food at the resort was phenomenal, and the staff, especially Toom from room service, went above and beyond with kindness and professionalism, making everything seamless. We had no plans to visit Austin, but thanks to this exceptional experience, we’re already looking forward to returning just to stay at the Four Seasons. Truly a 5-star experience!”
