    “I rarely leave hotel reviews, but this stay deserves an exception. I travel extensively and regularly stay in luxury hotels. In Four Season hotels in London and Washington, D.C., I have experienced a very different level of refinement and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the Four Seasons Seattle fell far short of what I would expect in this category and at this price point. The biggest issue by far was the room itself. The sound insulation was remarkably poor, with traffic noise clearly audible throughout the night. Sleep is the most basic thing a hotel should provide, regardless of category. Frankly, I have slept better in YMCA hostels. For a hotel at this level and price, this was unacceptable. There was also a surprising lack of thoughtful touches: no welcome amenity or fresh fruit, while the complimentary water came in plain cardboard cartons. More tellingly, a small Boeing toy airplane was displayed in the room with a note saying it could be purchased for $25. Rather than charming, this felt unnecessarily commercial and out of place in a luxury hotel. The staff were courteous and the location is excellent, but overall there was a surprising gap between the Four Seasons reputation and the experience delivered here. For me, true luxury is not about the name or the price, but about comfort, generosity and attention to detail. Unfortunately, those qualities were largely missing from this stay.”

    “The resort, the experience, the grounds and especially the people were phenomenal form arrival to departure. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is close to the piers as well as Pike's Market and restaurants. Despite the location the rooms and resort is quiet. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable as the hotel offered an upgrade given our special occasion. The staff was attentive and referenced us by name during the course of our stay. What is so unique about Four Seasons is they always go the extra step on small things consistently - it is as though it is a standard of behavior.”

    “After a luxury Alaskan cruise, we chose the Four Seasons Seattle as we have enjoyed stays in Four Season Hotels all over the world and also because of its location a couple of blocks from the popular waterfront Pike Place Market. While we enjoyed our stay and our room, there were details and general lack of attentiveness well below Four Seasons standards and our expectations. Perhaps there were too many pre-and-post cruise passenger guests, perhaps the area franchisee. Lobby bar service was slow while bartenders chatted with each other, concierge appeared to be not well informed. And there was noticeable hesitation to offer the Hotel’s courtesy car.”

    “Our second stay here - just fabulous apart from the building/renovation noise during the night. The restaurant is lovely with a great choice of food and beverages. The staff just can't do enough for you.”

    “Very unwelcoming reception staffs Paid premium rate for a suite which was literally empty. Experienced an extremely ignorant waiter at breakfast. Went out of his way to welcome and serve a family which arrived 20 minutes after us and were served at exactly the same time as us. Water was not replenished in room, no chocolates at turn down like other guests have suggested. Bell man was absolutely fantastic, I only wish I knew his name. Very conveniently located to the waterfront and city. Clean and nice property but doesn’t have the finesse of many others.”
