  • Change the breakfast process

    8/10

“We enjoyed a weekend get away at the W in Seattle where we enjoyed a beautiful corner room. The front desk and bell staff were excellent. The downside of the stay was the breakfast process in the restaurant. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite member, we had a breakfast voucher as there was no lounge. The first issue was the voucher was only good for $40, virtually impossible for two people to get breakfast here since the buffet is $38 and the menu was pretty limited to other options. In addition, the line to be seated for breakfast was long and the hostess showed no sense of urgency to get anyone seated, although there were plenty of seats. On the second morning of our stay we decided we would only have coffee. My husband went down to order the coffee, but in order to do so, he had to stand in line with everyone waiting to be seated for breakfast to place his order with the hostess, rather than stepping to the counter to do so. When he went to the front desk to ask if they could help, the answer was “no,” but did say they have had multiple complaints about the process. So if guests are complaining about the process, then change the process!”

  • Terrible ride staff

“Terrible experience. The staff especially the older man at the market are very rude. All I asked for what a cup of water and he makes it seem like a neusance. If I had a functioning mini fridge I wouldn't need to do all the way downstairs to ask for ice water.”

“The W is an elegant 4 star hotel that welcomed my friends with incredible experience. The hotel is sleek, modern, and filled with helpful caring staff members that made sure we were well taken care of. I say this as a Marriott employee at different hotel and they really out did themselves!”

  • Productivity game changer

“This Outpost work setup is a game changer. I’m always hesitant to working from a hotel because I don’t want to slog all the equipment I need to be effective. But this solves every issue. I’ve raved about it to every coworker I talked to today… excellent service that I highly recommend!”

  • Not Bad, Just Not Worth Going Out of Your Way For

“The staff at the W Seattle were probably the best part of the stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. The hotel itself feels like it’s living off a version of itself from years ago. I can see how the design probably felt modern and fun when it first opened, but a lot of it comes across as dated now rather than stylish. We had the Chase daily breakfast credit, so we used it each morning. The food was fine, nothing wrong with it, but also nothing I would pay for separately. If the credit hadn’t been included, I would have gone somewhere else for breakfast. The location was also a downside. The hotel sits on a seriously steep hill, which got old fast. Looking back, I probably should have booked the Marriott Waterfront instead. It looked nicer and seemed much closer to the tourist spots we spent most of our time visiting.”
