Nydelig innretning, utrolig hjelpsomt personale som snakket glimrende engelsk og som kunne svare på alle spørsmål og oppklare ting vi ikke skjønte. En fantastisk takterasse med utsikt til Trommetårnet - og skjønne katter som spankulerte dovent rundt 😊 Man kunne veksle mellom kinesisk og en mer vestlig frokost - begge var veldig gode. Deilig brød og kaker kunne kjøpes i en liten baker shop på hotellet. Det var et lite kjøkken i rommet vårt hvor det var kaffe, te og frisk frukt hver dag”

    “Ons verblijf bij The Orchid was heerlijk! We verbleven in een ruime kamer met twee bedden, een kleine woonkamer en een fijne badkamer. De bedden waren erg comfortabel, waardoor we iedere nacht heerlijk hebben geslapen. Wat ons verblijf vooral zo prettig maakte, was het personeel. Ze waren ontzettend behulpzaam en hebben ons uitstekend geholpen met het regelen van een dagtrip. Ook met andere vragen konden we altijd bij hen terecht. Een ander groot pluspunt zijn de verschillende eetgelegenheden die bij het hotel horen. Vooral van het ontbijt hebben we iedere ochtend erg genoten. Ook de ligging was voor ons ideaal, met veel leuke cafés en restaurants in de directe omgeving. De buurt rondom het hotel was tijdens ons verblijf wel behoorlijk druk, waarschijnlijk omdat we er rond de feestdagen waren. Tegelijkertijd droeg die levendigheid juist bij aan de gezellige sfeer in de hutong en was er altijd wel iets te zien of te beleven. Al met al hebben we een heel fijn verblijf gehad en zouden we The Orchid zeker aanraden.”

    “The breakfast was excellent. We loved the choice at Toast, their mediterranean restaurant, and staff were also accommodating to special requests (an extra egg, additional coffee etc). Service in particular was warm and excellent, we mentioned in passing that we enjoyed the lapsang souchong tea in the room and were presented with a small tin of it as a takeaway gift when we checked out. We've been to Beijing many times before and usually stay in the CBD, but wanted to experience staying in a hutong area, and loved that The Orchid allowed us to do so. Very nice to be able to observe and experience local life and flavours.”

    “It’s a really cosy, comfortable place that gives you “I’m at home” vibes. The staff is really committed to making sure you’re having a nice day, helpful with booking things, etc. Especially as it was my first time in China, this was like a warm bath.”
