“Absolutely fantastic laid back, engulfed in nature resort. The best service we have ever received in all our travels, and we have traveled around the globe quite a bit. The entire team, from the minute we arrived, exhorted an immense amount of hospitality, kindness and professionalism. All was done and beyond to make our stay fabulous. The food was delicious with many many options. The drinks fantastic. The villas were serviced twice a day impeccably. The island hopping excursion was a great beautiful experience. The natural setting is unbeatable. Nature at it’s very best. But above it all - the service and hospitality. Attending to all our needs, accommodating all our requests. All with genuine kindness. “Cauayan Island Resort Philippines July 2026
Another great vacation in the books! This year we ventured out to the Phillipines and spent 9 wonderful days at Cauayan Island Resort in Palawan off the coast of ElNido. This beautiful island had the most wonderful people who helped us create memories that will last a lifetime. We took a calm boat ride from ElNido to the resort. We were greeted by Vincent our island host and Salil the island manager who made sure that we had everything we needed everyday and helped in planning our perfect trip. They were kind, helpful and taught us so much about the island and the surrounding sights.
Our room was absolutely stunning and the views would take your breath away. We stayed in the sunrise suite. We loved sitting by the pool every morning just taking in all the views before breakfast. Every morning we headed to the restaurant to have breakfast, which was by the main pool and the beach. Nick and RJ made sure that we were all set up by the pool and beach every morning and checked on us throughout the day. The staff was always very attentive making sure we always had water, whatever drinks or food we wanted as well as clean, dry towels. The bartenders Red and JL made very tasty drinks and always using fresh juice that was available. The mango drinks were our favorite! Chef Paul Bautista created wonderful meals from breakfast to dinner. He made sure that it was cooked exactly how we liked it. There were so many different things to choose from. The pasteries as the meals were not only delicious, but baked fresh every day. This resort was a perfect place to lay back, relax, swim as well as enjoy the daily snorkeling, food, drinks and to take is the sun. It is clean, organized, secluded, quiet and peaceful. If this is what you are looking for, Cauayan is definitely the place for you. If staying on the island is not enough there are excursions that you can go on. We went on two. We took a boat the the main island of El Nido to walk around and go shopping, Gabriel came with us. He took us to the best shops to buy t-shirts, bracelets, etc. He was so extremely kind and patient. He helped us find exactly what we needed and made sure we caught the boat back to Cauayan right on time. The other excursion, which was our absolute favorite, was going Island Hopping. You can choose between a group or private experience. We chose to do the private tour from 8am-4pm on a stunning boat and had a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Bautista. The excursion was filled with some of the most breathtaking views that we have ever seen. The experience was far beyond our expectations. The pictures and videos online do not capture these views at all. The snorkeling was amazing and has been the best experience that I have ever had, all because of Joar, who stayed with us and helped me get over my fear with his patience. He pulled me around as my family swam with us. He made me feel very safe, which helped my family and I focus more on the beauty of this experience. Captain Jack helped my daughter overcome her fear of being on a boat, as well. Besides Joar and Captain Dave, Remar and Captain Jack also helped make this experience perfect.
On the island throughout the week I also did a couple of spa packages by myself and one with my daughter. Mary Grace and Beverly were amazing as well as the other girls that worked there. The spa was clean and had a beautiful and peaceful view which helped in the relaxation process. Jovelyn, the spa manager and Krem helped put our spa packages together and made sure that all our needs were met.
If you are planning on celebrating anything while on the island Alwin, the event specialist does a phenomenal job putting together any event that you would like. He takes pride in his job. He makes sure it is beautiful and just perfect from beginning to end. He is patient and talented. I would definitely recommend dinner on the beach at least one night during your stay
We had such a wonderful experience at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner during our island vacation, and a big part of that was our waitress Liza as all of the others that work there. They were warm, friendly, and attentive from the moment we arrived. They made us feel welcome, offered great recommendations, and always checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. Their positive attitudes and genuine hospitality made our meal even more enjoyable. The outstanding service throughout this resort is what makes this place truly memorable.
Thank you Salil and everyone for helping make our vacation so memorable. You have all gone above and beyond to make it perfect. We would definitely return and highly recommend Cauayan Island Resort!”

“I enjoyed my stay at Cauayan. I enjoyed the food, and the employees were very nice! The resort was very clean, but the only thing I would complain about are the bugs. There are bugs in the sand, but that did not ruin my experience. It was very peaceful, and the only thing you could hear were the sounds of the other customers. The rooms were very neat and luxurious. The location was absolutely beautiful and the baby sharks near the spa were very cute! I reccomend this resort!”

“This hotel is absolutely amazing, probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in the Philippines, if not the very best.
The rooms are beautiful, with a classic Asian style, and they are incredibly spacious. The bathroom is outstanding, featuring both an outdoor shower and an indoor shower with three different water settings. The bed and pillows are perfect—I honestly had some of the best nights’ sleep here.
The service from the entire hotel staff is exceptional. Everyone is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always makes sure you have everything you need.
The spa is incredible. We were lucky enough to see baby reef sharks while enjoying our massage, which made the experience even more unique and unforgettable.
As for the restaurant, every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The breakfast, which is included with the room, is outstanding, offering both an extensive buffet and an à la carte menu cooked to order.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and one that I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back!”

“We went on a double date couples trip and stayed in the beach front villas at this resort! This was our first of three stays while in the Philippines, and Cauayan was hands down the best one out of them all! Top tier service and hospitality! Food was great, but the breakfast buffet was phenomenal! All of the staff members were absolutely amazing and every single person there contributed to making sure we had the best experience! The tours offered at this resort are all so much fun and even more beautiful! I would highly highly highly reccoment staying here if or when you are in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines! Honestly this was the best all inclusive resort stay I have ever experienced!”

“Located on a private island, the boat trip was around 20 mins on a small fast speedboat.
The arrival is impressive, lovely welcome to the resort by the staff. We were draped with a pendant of the resort, very nice keepsake.
Everything looks very clean & tidy, beach has been swept & cleaned, sun beds nicely presented.
Our Beach Front Villa looks amazing, member of staff showed us around & fully explained everything.
Facilities & Activities are fully explained on their website so we knew we were in for a treat.
The bay where you can snorkel has plenty of fish, turtles & small black finned sharks are sometimes there to be seen.
We initially didn't see a turtle, then someone shouted that there is a turtle swimming nearby...after a short swim we were able to see the turtle gliding through the sea...amazing, my wife Hersely just loved this!
The food, atmosphere is fantastic very relaxing vibe. We enjoyed casually chatting to other couples there from different parts of the world.
The sunset cruise on a very comfortable boat was wonderful, canapes & sparking wine made the cruise very memorable.
The owner Emile was also on the cruise with his friends, very friendly guy, we enjoyed chatting to him about Cauayan & its history.
3 nights 4 days of enjoyment, relaxing & recharging a very worthwhile visit indeed.”

“We treated ourselves to an island stay just after arriving in El Nido. .
The boat trip from El Nido port took 20 mins on a fast little speedboat.
As you arrive towards the island you’re immediately impressed, then the resort comes into view & wow, it looks amazing.
We knew we were in for a treat & a relaxing time.
Greeted by the staff when we got off the boat & shown to the lobby to check-in.
Lovely sea shell pendants draped over our heads with the Cauayan Resort name…nice touch.
Shown to our beach front villa where all the facilities & activities were explained.
The villa is just a very short walk to the sea…
Chance to settle in before exploring the resort.
Very tasty pizza & calamari on the beach on our sun beds directly in front of our villa 🏖️
Early evening we went for a walk over the small hill to the other side of the island.
The staff by this pier were friendly & explained where to swim & snorkel & what we may be able to see.
We just chilled in the room for the evening planning for the next day…
A good nights sleep, good selection of foods available for breakfast gave us an ideal start to the day.
Snorkelling time…face masks, snorkels & fins are available from their activity centre FOC.
There were plenty of fish to see around the coral the sea was quite clear.
After an hour we decided to rest only to find out another couple had spotted a turtle only a short swim away…bucket list ticked, seeing & swimming near a turtle!
The evening was spent on a sunset cruise, canapés & sparking wine served.
Also on the cruise we met Emile, the owner of the island & his friends, we enjoyed chatting to Emile & hearing about the history of Cauayan resort. Very comfortable boat, ideal for watching the sunset.
The rest of the time at the resort we enjoyed the very relaxing vibe, chatting to other guests & enjoying the food, the beach, the sea & the sea water infinitely pool.
There’s plenty of activities available to keep those more active that are all mentioned on their website.
I could write a lot more, the vibe & facilities are fabulous & should definitely be on a visit list.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Cauayan Island Resort 🫶🏼 It exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were some of the kindest, most attentive, and genuinely welcoming people we’ve ever met. We especially loved Karl, who surprised my husband with dinner each night, Nick, Red, and James, who always made sure our glasses were full, and Ramar, who guided us through an incredible island hopping day, sunrise hike, and beautiful sunset cruise. 🧡 Our beachfront villa was perfect, complete with a private cabana and lounge chairs right on the beach that we used every day. The resort itself is stunning and offers so many activities — snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and an amazing spa. The pool, food, and bar were all exceptional as well. This is easily one of our favorite resorts we’ve ever stayed at, and we’re already dreaming of coming back. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!”
